Just received my Crystal Eye full LED tail lamps from Japan today. Bought it on Yahoo Japan auction, price was about $400 shipped to my friend locally, and then I have to pay EMS air freight to ship from Japan to U.S.

Currently there's a group buy going on through Prius Shop, honestly I think that is your best bet because I would not be surprised when I get the bill from my friend the EMS fee probably cost me at least $150 or more.

Originally I had thought these are the same ones on Ebay, but as one individual pointed out the Ebay ones are not FULL LED for the reverse and turn signal. Yes, he is right. The JDM ones are FULL LED everywhere, and comes with turn signal cancecellor box too. But frankly speaking, I think it's just matter of time before Ebay will be selling this type lamp because the origin of the lamp was made in Taiwan, and I would not be surprised sooner or later someone will be importing these in direct from manufacturer without going through Japan and the mark up. At any rate, I guess for the time being I can feel alittle more special about my car. :)

Here are the install photos, enjoy.

Turn signal LED canceller box. I think without this box your turn signal LED will blink rapidly, but with this box it controls it.

Getting right to work taking the rear panels out, again did this in my work parking lot with help of co-workers (since it's a slow day).

Toyota really made it difficult to take out the rear tail lamps, instead of bolt on and bolt off the rear tail lamps has this bracket that slip lock into the rear bumper cover.

Crystal Eye on the left vs. Stock on the right. Big difference!!

To prevent the "raw egg effect" or "fried egg effect" whatever you guys call it, I changed out the license plate frame bulbs to White SMD LED's.

Thanks. Yeah the smoke lense ones will look awesome on your grey metallic. I would pick that one as well if I had your color.

Actually, the fried egg effect is when the reflectors (in turn signals) look orange/yellow while the lights are off. You eliminate this by using silver-coated bulbs that look white when off and blink amber.

You're just correcting for color mismatch.
