Yes I have a v but the only other one I have seen was parked. Since I am always driving it, I seriously wondered what the difference was - until I saw one on the road. They DO look different! Woo!

First off, I think you meant a V not a v. They do look different because of the rims and the headlight washer. I have yet to see a V with ATP. All I saw were Vs with nav.

Yes. I get them confused. I meant V. (Thanks, Toyota!) I couldn't tell what options it had other than the wheels. I had a moment of envy as it was Silver. The wheels and low profile tires stand out when driving.

I actually saw an IDENTICAL Prius to mine last week...but i was 2 cars behind it to see if it has ATP or NAVI. Still, knowing how Toyota dealers order cars in my area, i am sure that it has everything i have. It does look unique.

I have a V w/ATP (Barcelona Red), and there is another one in my parking lot at work (Winter Grey?).

That's weird as you're in California. My guess is you're in Northern California because the V with no ATP wasn't allocated to Southern California for over a year after its debut, so we were stuck with ATP as our only option if we wanted the V (unless So Cal dealers go out of their way to acquire Vs with no ATP at the port en route to other regions) and Vs with ATP are overrepresented around here.

You guys must be relying on the LKA, radar CC, and PCA to drive your cars while you're busy looking for a camera hidden above the mirror and tiny button on the sides of the front bumper of a passing Prius. Hopefully you're not posting your comments to PC while driving. Drive carefully and enjoy your V.

You saw mine at the meet in Roland Heights. Mine is a V w/ATP. Although I wish I would have gotten it without. Only usable thing really is the Dynamic Cruise Control. Use the heck of it. The rest is pretty lame.

My market is So Cal. I know this because when I bought my Tacoma in Dec 96, I wanted an automatic with ABS and was told that ABS is not available in So Cal, only No Cal has ABS and only on manual. Anyway, when I was shopping for my Prius, I came across plenty of V w/o ATP in So Cal dealers. Even Longo didn't have a blizzard V/ATP at the time. They only had 1 blizzard V but only with nav pack.

I didn't include yours because I saw yours at the meet. I expected to see a few V/ATPs at the meet but yours and mine were the only ones. Kore971 has a V too but his is only with nav pack.

You mean you have a Five. Per http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/82748-my11-prius.html, Toyota switched to spelling out the numbers.

The v wagon (listed at http://www.toyota.com/upcoming-vehicles/prius-family/ and many other places) is not available for sale nor test drives yet.

I was quite confused when I first came across this thread.

    Not True...

I own a 2011 package "V" with Nav and ATP per window sticker.

See http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/82748-my11-prius.html which I pointed to and you left out when quoting me. (FWIW, I've and a # of other folks here have personally met Erica and/or Doug, who post as Prius Team.) I haven't looked at a 2011 window sticker but they should've changed over to the "new" nomenclature by now.

The Toyota configurator ("Build Your Toyota") at Toyota Cars, Trucks, SUVs & Accessories moved over to spelling out the numbers awhile ago.

I don't like that the wagon is called the v, which creates confusion between the V/Five, but the OP confused things further by using little v, which refers to an upcoming, currently non-shipping product.

Yeah, my guess is they had not made the necessary modification to the window stickers.

However, this "you don't have a V, you have a Five (or vice versa)" argument is silly because V is by definition and pronunciation five, just as everyone pronounces II and III "two" and "three," respectively.

Priuschat should just drop the Roman numerals and spell out the numbers for all Gen III model years as the 2010 would be the only one still doing so.

I thought all the other whiz-bang stuff was going to be pretty lame too, but I gotta say, I use LKA w/ DCC on road trips all the time. I didn't think I would like LKA, but it's actually quite nice to have. The park assist is a little silly to me...but it's a fun toy to show off to passengers to freak them out.

Yes, I meant Five. Though my window sticker said 'V'. Had someone in a Gen III Prius pulled up next to us at a stop light, tooted his horn and knocked on his window. I rolled down the window.

    Him: "Is that a 12?"
    Me: "No, it's an 11."
    Him: "Looks different."
Me: "It's a package Five/V. Larger wheels, low profile tires. Google it!"
Him: "Nice. Thanks, I am going to!!"

DH and I felt bad because we just witnessed someone having upgrade fever and we know how much that sucks.

I bought mine from Longo and they only had Vs with ATP at the time, but Longo is known to acquire a few Vs with only NAV. Dianne Whitmire was the biggest at grabbing them at the port so you'd always see the rare combo at Manhattan Beach Toyota.

If you didn't care for ATP and was going to upgrade the wheels anyway, why get the V at all? Unless of course you really wanted the LED headlights.

My 2011 was also labeled as a V on the Monroney sticker.

This thread seems to splitting into several subjects. On one hand you got the sighting. On the other hand you got the the naming and then you got the V vs v.
People around here are cheap and the dealers don't stock the V. So I rarely see any V locally let alone V/ATP. When I went to LA, I've seen some occasionally.
There's already too many debates on what the call each trim levels. BTW it's trim level not package. There's no such thing as package 2, package 3, package 4, package 5 for Gen III. It's the same as CE, LE, SE, XLE, and Limited. They are trim levels not packages. As others have said, the trim levels are in Roman numerals so II would be two, III would be three, IV would be four and V would be five. I have yet to hear people say "Yeah, I got a Prius eye eye eye" or a "Prius eye vee". Now, the big Prius is pronounced Prius vee because roman numerals are capitalized and not lower case. This reminds me of how OSX should pronounced. It suppose to be OS ten as in the 10th version of the mac operating system not O-S-X. However people pronounce it both ways because both sound good.

Whatever it is...i love the look of my Prius V/Five/5. And with my new Ecopia tires, i am really enjoying the Prius more and more everyday!

And cycledrum, i think that 45 series tires are just fine matched with the rims.
