Wind turbulence/wind booming while driving with the windows down?

    I've only noticed this "booming" in a pretty minor way with the front windows down. A few days ago however I put one of the back windows down (front windows were both up) and yeah the booming was really noticeable.

    I'd recommend using the front windows and leaving the rear windows fully up. The dog still gets plenty of air blowing into the back, plus IMHO it's safer not to have to dog hang out of the window too much.

    <<<--- BTW. Rex owns the back seat in our Prius too.

    Seems to be an effect in most modern cars. My '01 Saturn wagon booms, my '05 Mustang booms, Daughters '04 Mazda Protege booms.
