Hey guys, what is the fastest way to make a phone call in our car? In my old car, I used to be able to hit the talk button and say "call (persons name)" and then the unit would repeat the name and I would just say yes. In this car I have to go through a 10 step process to try and use my voice commands to call someone. Am I missing something? Is there a quick voice command to make a phone call? Argh so frustrating..

Also, is there a way to change the effectiveness of the mic in the car. People I talk to using hands free say they can barely hear me.
    Thanks!

Try turning off the voice guidance:

    1. Click on SETUP
    2. Then VOICE
    3. Voice Recognition Guidance: OFF

Also, put often dialed numbers in the speed dial slots. Then it's easy to press a speed dial button for someone even when the car is moving.

    Short answer: no.

You can do what was suggested above, but it just shortens the time between steps, not eliminate them.

And, I know what you mean...I had a Parrot MKi 9200 in my last car and am giving serious thought to installing it in this one as well.

Pressing the voice button on the steering wheel turns off the blabbermouth but you have to do it after each step.
