The car I have on reserve is arriving at the port on 6/14. There are no port-installed accessories ordered for this vehicle. My dealer is located two hours from the port (SF), so I was wondering how long it will take for the car to arrive?

    Thanks.

Usually just 3 days for the car to be delivered to the dealer, inspected and prepped, but sometimes it can take longer. Be sure you stay on top of things because depending on the dealership, some aggressive salesperson could sell it as soon as it arrives (I've seen it happen)

Where is the port that it arrives to? I've heard Texas, but is that for all of them? Mine left Japan on May 11th, and the dealer called me May 28th to tell me it had arrived. So that was about 2 1/2 weeks. So if it was Houston, TX... it had to travel another 1,200 miles. I was expecting it to take longer than it actually did.

My understanding is it can vary by a few days, depending on scheduling of the trucks that deliver the cars to the dealers. Mine arrived at the dealer (Sunnyvale Toyota) 2 days after the boat docked, and I picked it up the next day (it arrived too late in the day for them to complete PDI that day).

There are several ports of arrival for Toyotas built in Japan. For northern California it's Benicia, CA (just northeast of SF).

The ports are Portland OR for the NW. Benicia (SF) CA. for CA. N Rockies N Plains and Midwest. Long Beach CA. is for S CA. the SW and S Plains. The region covered by SE Toyota Inc. has Jacksonville FL as its port. NE and Mid Atlantic is the port of Newark NJ.

Your Prius appears to be on the AEGEAN LEADER currently at the port of Portland OR.

Thanks for the info. My car is suppose to be delivered to Portland on a boat (I'm guessing the AEGEAN LEADER) 6/12 and put on a train (I believe) for Seattle for a 6/18 delivery.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. Hopefully I will be as lucky as the other member, where the car arrives at the dealer two days after docking.

You can view the boats progress if you want from this link: Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions

On the left upper corner where it says "Go To Vessel" enter AEGEAN LEADER and hit enter and it should show you where the boat is currently at. Last time I checked it was heading down the Oregon coast heading for CA.

So, I can't read the update page on my phone, but I wonder if the car is on a different vessel because I stopped by the dealer yesterday evening and the Toyota system shows that the car is in "F" status.

F status is 72 hr to dealer. The Aegean Leader is doing circles just outside the Bay waiting for the pilot boat to take it to the dock. Santa Cruz is close it will be there on Wednesday or Thursday. The status paper used to say which ship it was on back when we tracked all the ships for the 2010 rollout. Previous ship was the Century Highway 2 on June 3. It went on to Long Beach and has been at anchor there ever since. Used to be 1 ship to each port every 4 days on average. Now it's 1 ship for all 3 west coast ports every 10 days.

Got it. Interesting that it already shows "F" status even though the car is still on a boat and has not been through processing. My dealer is actually in the Sacramento area, but that is closer to Benicia than Santa Cruz.

Sure enough, it arrived on the first day of the anticipated time frame. The car came off the truck today and is now awaiting PDI. It looks like the port already installed some swirls for me at no additional cost.

Not to sure about your paint film protector on the hood. Think I'd have gone for clear or at least color matched. :D:D:D Enjoy

Mine was on the same boat as yours but dropped off in Portland. Still not at the dealer here in Seattle. They called today and said it would be sometime between Saturday and Monday. I'm thinking Monday..not sure if the truck / train people work on weekends to deliver cars to dealerships?

    Congrats on your new car!

    Thanks.

I'm fairly close to the port (only 45 minutes away) and mine arrived on the first day of the expected timeperiod, 17-20. One dealer in the area told me that if it had not come today, then Sunday night would be more realistic. Then again, it's a YMMV. Good luck!
