My Prius turned 2 yesterday and I decided to surprise it with a bit of classing up - chrome lower door mouldings and wood dash. I was considering this for over a year and finally popped. They were about $145 each and OEM Toyota. Nice quality, and very easy to install (all took about an hour). I was concerened they may look cheesy or gaudy, but actually look very nice. Adds a nice touch IMO.

It look really nice the wood dash with the tan interior. Way better then the cheap plastic. DeanFl, Where did you get the wood dash from?

The chrome strips make the car look even longer, and longer in the wheelbase, where it counts.

What difference in reception have you noticed with your shark fin, please?

I thought you fed your car an In&Out Burger... haha. Congrats on the 2 years! Chrome rocker panels look great. I'm not a fan of the wood trim, but they match your interior very well.

Although I'm not a fan of either, I'd have to say of the three interior colors, the wood trim looks best with bisque. The chrome lower door moldings, while elegant, would go better with aftermarket wheels than the factory 17".

The more I see pics of the chrome lower door moldings the more I want them.

My prius is only 2 weeks old :baby: , just plopped out of labor & delivery so I'll hold off a little bit while I try to get comfortable paying the medical payments so to speak. :p

Classy ride you have, OP, thanks for sharing!

    I haven't noticed any.

Satellite sucks as bad as it always has (makes sense since it is not the same antenna) and FM I only listen to in the morning and on bad smog days its still lousy and on good days its still passable.

She looks a heck of a lot sleeker though. :)

Dash & mouldings from TRDSparks.com. Toyota dealer in SC.

Woodgrain Dash Applique - Light Bamboo at Sparks Toyota-Scion, Myrtle Beach, SC
dash = $146 (also comes in gray wood)

Lower Door Molding, Semi Chrome Finish at Sparks Toyota-Scion, Myrtle Beach, SC
Mouldings - $135 (brushed chrome finish)

    FedEx shipping was $10 each.

Many folks on PChat used them too. Excellent selection of Prius parts, service, delivery.

The bamboo wood finish really brightens up the interior and transitions the bisque <> gray dash plastic nicely.

FYI, the lower door mouldings available on PChat Shop too.

I love the look of the wood kit. :) I also have bisque interior and am tempted to get the wood interior. But first have to pony up for window tint, scheduled for first week of July.

FYI, I've seen a few pics of the lower door mouldings on various colors - many on PChat here. IMO they look especially nice on the White as shown in the att.

And yes, the dash bamboo/light wood with bisque interior looks quite pleasing (better live than in pics) - especially while cutting the expanse of dark gray plastic it covers...
BTW the kit is OEM Toyota (no doubt would cost several hundred $$$ as a Port Option) and seems to be manufactured from the same molds as the OEM dash plastic - the pieces fit perfectly molding to all contours, and affixing easily with 3M tape.

Yeah, the OP's does look very good. I'm ok w/wood grain but dislike it when it looks like an obvious fake as I've seen in some cars.
Yeah, that's what I thought this thread was about. I thought he went to In-N-Out Burger - Welcome. If anyone on this thread ever makes it to a state that has one, you MUST have a burger there.
