Lol, I just saw this video about 10 minutes ago. So I went to PriusChat, searched to see if anyone had posted it, and found your thread.

Funny thing is, I got the video from a friend who works at a Whole Foods. Go figure. :0)

No, they call it "Whole Paycheck" around here.

Anyway, I think everyone should eat "organic food," or as our grandparents called it, "food."

LOL: kickin it real in the westside:D Is there Trader Joe's there? That's the place to go for a <$10 pinot without getting any looks! I don't know which foods at Whole Foods or Traders are being imported all the way from China, but I do notice that they're very corporate. The larger you get, the easier it is for you to weigh some leverage to get cheaper contracts. Those contractors, then, have to decide if it's cheaper to produce in the US or other countries. I'm not surprised that most all frozen food at Whole Foods is "Made in China". Enter immigration reform: local Georgia produce is severely taking a nose dive now due to local immigration reform. I understand California produce is also hurting right now. At least gas has gotten cheaper to be able to import "fresh" produce from Mexico and Central America:sick:

Since 2009, Trader Joe's no longer sells (food) products sourced from China.

I avoid Whole Foods and Nugget when I can. They charge high prices for even mundane items like C&H sugar. Wth? Trader Joes is pretty cool though. Even the frozen foods have very few ingredients you can' t pronounce.

We love our TJ's... I would only go to Whole Foods for specific items I couldn't get elsewhere... like right now, Earth Balance has rolled out a new coconut oil based spread, and they're only selling it through WF. I would go, buy a case, and hope that my local food co-op or TJ's gets it soon.

I think WF and TJ are too high priced, and I'm not into the organic scene. We have something here called Fresh Market which is a little better, but still priced higher than grocery stores, but great selection of whole wheat products, oils, bulk seasonings, coffees, etc. We also have a nature (health) food store which is very reasonable and well-stocked with natural ingredients and some hard to find items for my area.

Weird. TJs is dirt cheap unless you are buying their organic meats. I spend much less than at Safeway or Raley's (Bel-Air) and I come out with much more. Even the wine is cheaper at TJs. For Veggies I prefer the Farmer's Market but TJs works.

TJ is not high priced (in MI and OH at least). At WF, you can get their own brand "365" and it is very reasonably priced. I think Fresh Market is quite expensive, although I love that store.

So when is the soundtrack to this video coming out on iTunes? I will be the first to buy it! I roll in the parking lots every now and then and would love to blast this song to flex my JBL speakers! :D

Yup, FM is expensive on certain items, but their bulk seasoning is a great value. I suppose WF and TJ have similar price value points, too. When I left northwest Ohio for NC, we didn't have TJ or WF at that time.
