So... for those of you griping about the telematics and capabilities in 3rd gen Priuses and then comparing to Ford offerings, be careful what you wish for...

Sounds like it is tough to hear from your customers that your "state of the art" electronics aren't "state of the art". I'm not surprised.

We're surrounded by devices that "just work" then complain when the expensive stuff in the car doesn't work like "x".

Your nav system is on a DVD & has a lockout. For $200 Garmin, Magellan & Tom Tom have devices with flash memory & no lockout.

It should be easy enough to use that one shouldn't have to read a manual to be able to get it to list POI entries ("Red Lobster", for instance).

My USB thumbdrive works fine plugged into my Windows based computer but I have to reformat it for the car to recognize it but not all the file formats.

After too many years of Star Trek I expect to talk to a computer in a normal voice and to get a useful response. It should also sound like Majel Barrett. We all know how far away we are from that.

If you are going to make it sound & look wonderful in the TV commercial you'll going to have to make it work in real life. Keep trying guys.

Wow. This is really depressing considering how much I like the Sync system in my wife's Fusion Hybrid. We recently vacationed and had two ten-hour drives. The Sync system functioned great, in my opinion IS intuitive and everything worked as advertised. I kind of hate to see them suffer such a set-back after that.
