I own a 2004 Prius with 125K miles and have had no issues with warning lights until yesterday. We had our usual 100 degree day in Austin yesterday and then when starting the car the Yellow Round Exclmation Light came on with the ABS light. When we turned down the AC these lights went off, but then the check engine and Red Triangle with ! came on and the word "Problem" was on the top of the Display screen.

Not sure if this would be a brake problem since these were the first lights to come on or any way to diagnose. Is a Toyota Dealer my best bet? Is it safe to drive? From the first set of lights yellow ! the manual says not to drive, however this light is now off.

Most likely your 12v battery needs to be replaced.

I agree on the 12V, if you have not changed it lately. BUT, hot day equals hot inverter. Did you get the LSC done and the inverter pump exchanged? FREE! :cheer2: I am assuming your inverter coolant reservoir is topped up and your pump is working?

Thanks all...just brought Iris (yes I name my cars) :) to the shop. I did find out that the water pump (is this the same as inverter pump?) had a re-call on it, so it that is it Round Rock Toyota will fix for free. I also noticed when in the shop the 12V batter only had two bars on it...after driving it 30miles to the shop...so I'm hoping it is one of these two problems.

Just heard back from the shop and it is the water pump which had a re-call, so no charge. Thanks again to everyone on their suggestions, especially to Seilerts on the link on how to check the 12V battery!

Yes, inverter coolant pump = free work, including coolant. 12V battery is not measured in bars, that is the High Voltage Battery.
