New firmare/hardware for Scangauge2

    I have just realised this should be a new thread. Sorry for posting it elsewhere!!!

    I believe there is a new Scangauge2 version 4.5 out now or due very soon.
    Does anybody know anything about it?
    Is it an improvement and what extra features will it have?

    Yes, I just bought one two weeks ago and the latest version is 4.05. I checked to be sure before the purchase.

    This is my first ScanGauge so I cannot comment on improvements, etc. I do know that I configured it per advice read on PC and then configured XGauges per the spreadsheet made available on PC.

    Thanks to the wonderful people on PC it was plug-and-play with no issues.

    Thanks. That is good to know!
    The supplier in the UK seemed concerned there may be reliability issues and suggested I wait 3 weeks before buying,
    I wonder why...

    Better than what? I have version 4.02 and it works well. Ask your question on Hybrid Cars General Forum - Hybrid Car Forums as Bob Wilson is testing an upgraded ScanGauge.

    I have 4.05. I've listed my experiences at http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...on/95208-scangauge-4-05-problems-2nd-gen.html.

    I've been in some email conversations w/Linear Logic about the bugs I've been hitting. They asked if I could try an older version (but I'd assume that mean sending SGs back and forth again). I later discovered what I believe the bug is in post 9 and asked if I could test a version w/a fix for that instead. So, I'm in a holding pattern right now...
