I don't think they can be US DOT-certified anyway because they lack the side reflectors, so yeah, we already knew that (as is the case with most JDM products).

I do not know -- I paid a helluva lot more than that just to get yellow turn signals on my Phaeton. $300 is inexpensive. OEM EU Amber taillights Guess it's all relative.

Damn, only $1,188 just to get amber rear blinkers  That definitely makes the Valenti lights a bargain.

Well, in the interest of full disclosure, they did also enable me to activate the rear foglights. :D

Handling it, the quality of the material felt just as substantial as OEM, not filmsy plastic at all. However, the OEM unit weighs a bit more and it's more busy in the back due to different innards used for the non-LED turn signal and reverse light.

They're not available for sale in the United States yet. Calvin and I are testing the Valenti lights for a prospective group buy/sale in the PriusChat Shop.

Could you take a couple of pics of your car directly from the side? I have a winter grey and I want to see what the side profile of the car looks like with the SBs.

I'll try to snap a couple of daytime side profile picts today. I have a few nighttime profile picts, but you can't make out the details.

Wait what, 10 years ago we were changing red taillamps to white. Maybe in 20 years it'll be cool to have halogen headlights.

Do a search on ebay.com for Valenti and you'll find them with a horrible price tag,

Well, TWP indicated that the estimated GB price would be $350-400 shipped to anywhere in the US depending on the number of people they get. That's actually a very good price for the quality you get and certainly better than the $550-700 range that Bino and w202mae paid for their full LED Crystal Eyes. Might even be cheaper for you given you live closer to their Asia distribution center.

What chrisj428 paid for the amber blinker tails for his Phaeton, now that's a horrible price tag ;)

I agree that $350-400 would be a very decent price for the quality of these taillamps. As 32K mentioned, they are definitely on the higher end of the quality spectrum for aftermarket equipment, nearly approaching OEM standards. It's definitely a lot cheaper than trying to import directly from Japan.

As you requested Dweezil, here are some profile picts of the SB taillamps. Sorry for the poor quality, I only had my cell phone with me.

I wish a lighter color car would have been used as a test vehicle, instead of Black and Winter Grey Metallic.
