EV only operation

    Can anyone explain how to put the Prius in to and out of EV only operation?

    Either go this way:

    Electric Only Mode

    please note max speed of this kit.

    Or on a good running Prius and fairly well charged hybrid battery just let your foot off the gas a little below 40 miles an hour. Slowly let your foot off the gas until it goes EV. If you let your foot off all the way it goes into regen.

    Should be able to go into EV at will below that speed. All yellow lines on MFD ddisplay. Distance limited by batt charge of course.
