Hello everyone i just thought i would share last weeks MPG with this forum. only 125 KMS were on the highway. the rest mainly city.As i stated in my last thread i had managed to fill my prius with 39L of gas with some over flowing and on that tank, i managed to travel 877KMS(545Miles). now on this fill up i was only able to put back in 36L. Now the read out on the monitor states 4.8L/100KMS but when i did a few calculations i came out with 4.1-4.2L/100KMS. Either way i am very excited to exceed my 700KMS from last month.

That is good! That is the #'s I normally come in with. On occasion I pull #'s around 3.7. Only had my Prius for a year, so it is still teaching me!!! Hal

I have a HCH11 Honda and purchased a x lease 2006 Premium Prius with 19,500 Kilometers on it last July for my wife. I like both auto's. Both are FE machines and do much better FE wise than advertised. I have had 3.7 ltrs. per 100 over a 200 kilometer run with the Honda hybrid as well as the Prius. I do better with the Honda on longer trips , but the Prius kicks butt in town. H

I have learned not to trust single tank calculated fuel economy numbers due to the gen 2 Prius fuel tank bladder issue. The MFD on the other hand seems to be a good predictor of the true fuel economy (with a small bias, ~2% too optimistic on my car). Just my 2 cents. :)

I agree! Actually the Honda reads under what you actually achieve and the Prius as you stated! Hal
