    Hi.

Which car do you think can accelerate faster from a stop - a Prius G3 with a 1.8l or a corolla with a 1.8l? While I haven't done any formal testing, I have driven both 2010 versions and feel that the prius is faster. I may be bias because I own a prius. :) Does anyone know of any statistics on this?

The 1.8 Corolla with automatic was 10 seconds to 60, the same as a Prius, so a draw.

Low powered cars do better with manual transmissions, so a manual Corolla would spank a Prius.

I would think it would beat an automatic Corolla. With a manual, it'll be close. It depends how fast the driver can shift because the CVT will keep going as the Corolla slows for a split second every time a new gear is selected.

Regardless of what he meant, it's still offensive to these individuals and everybody reading here who might know them as friends/family members.

Not ironic that the initials for priuschat is PC.
