If it was snow tire season I'd take a pic of the actual cap. Suffice to say it's just a little piece of molded plastic, front face chromed. If this was a kid's toy it would be a buck or two.

Mr Toyoda probably gives these caps to his grandchildren as toys.

If this seller lowers the price any more Ima go nuts.

Got them in the mail today. From China to my doorstep in exactly 1 week.

    eBay caps, front and back:

    eBay caps:

    OEM caps:

    The differences:
The bezel on the OEM cap is slightly wider and the logo is slightly smaller. There's also more curvature to the overall cap. The bezel on the eBay cap is narrower and the logo is larger, in fact, almost disproportionally "taller." These caps are also very lightweight (must be fake) and the face is slightly flatter than the OEM cap.

I knew all this before I bought them, I just wanted to confirm the differences. The fit is perfect and I'm not looking back.

Is that spring-wire bearing against the back of those four mounting clips?

Yeah. There's a break in the wire so you can compress the clips. It's a really tight fit and you kind of have to use some pressure to pop them into the hole. I imagine it's a pain to try to remove these clips.

Just thought I would post a pic of the wrapper for the knock out pieces from Lowes.. Might help someone out when they are looking for it.. Took me awhile to find them.. cost me only 1.05 each.. total 4.20!

    Hi theloop82,
Thanks for the great idea! :clap2:

I did this to my new Blizzard White yesterday.
The electrical box knock outs from Lowes for $1 each were the nicest.
The ones from Home Depot were a few cents cheaper but had writing punched across the middle.

Some left-over Rust-Oleum Hammered silver paint finished it off.

My Blizzard White really looks much better now.
The black Solar Roof line looks better anyway, especially on a white Prius.
But the tuning fork wheels with the center caps makes it look even better.

    Thanks again.

Ever Lowes, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware in my area seems to only have these with the sizes etched on the outside of them. I'm wondering if I can putty fill the lettering enough so that laying a couple of coats of spray paint on them will make them disappear. I'm just itching to take those wheel covers off!!

I'm guessing that if you use the Hammer finish spray paint (I used Rust-Oleum) then the etchings probably won't be visible after one coat, possible two. The "hammered" finish of this paint turns out slightly bumpy anyway while still looking clean and shiny, so it will probably hide the etchings.

Thanks, I'll probably go ahead and give it a try then. The Hammered Silver is a good match for the wheels?

Also, you got 1 1/2" covers? Someone in another thread mentioned 1 3/4", but I can never find those (do they even make them?) and wasn't sure if they were just mistaken.

Yes, the Rust-Oleum hammered matches perfectly.
I didn't see any 1-3/4" sized knock outs at any of the stores.
I used the 1-1/2" size and bent all the tabs out a little for a nice tight fit
