Hi Troy, I have a question. I just bought a certified used 2010 prius from my local toyota dearer. The mileage is around 27,000 miles. They did sell me an extended service plan(100,000miles). Is there any ways to cancel their warranty and go with one of yours?? The warranty went into the loan amount borrowed from a bank. I have no idea where to start. I did send you my info for a price quote. Thank you!

I also just purchased a 2011 prius and its looking like I was severely overcharged for the 7yr/100,000 plan. I just found out about this thread. The finance manager told me I had 30 days to cancel, so I have about 2 weeks.

Just got boned by the dealer. $1930 6 years/100,000 for the maintance contract. He said that if the repaire is done at another dealer I have to pay 100 deductable but if its done there its free. Just got my prius Saturday. How do I cancel this contact and get one from here. Is it the same with the deductable in this contract or no deductable anywhere?

Ok got everything straightened out. Had the warranty and maintanance removed from the sale. I will be sending the info you need to get both under your sales. Talked to the mantanance guy that worked at the dealer and he said its easier if you have a toyota vs what the financing guy sells..

Just sent you an email. Just bought tonight a Prius Package 2 and I was caught off guard by the platinum warranty. They offered me 8y/100k for $1800. I was very puzzled and took the bait. Now I need to cancel it and go with you. I am just mad that the money will be applied to my principal but the payments won't change after reading the posts.
Anyway, just to make sure do you sell exactly the same warranty? Platinum?

I just sent you a reply...and yes, the Toyota Extra Care Platinum coverage (through Toyota Financial Services) is the same no matter which dealer or state that it's purchased from.

Couple questions,
in your experience is the refund a check mailed to me or will they apply it to the principal keeping the same monthly payment on my financing with TFS?

do you know if they applied the extended warranty on the final contract price of my car? Wondering if I am paying state tax on top of that so I can make sure I get refunded for it as well.

If you paid cash/credit card they will mail you a check directly. If the policy was financed as part of your auto loan, the refund will be mailed to your bank and applied towards the loan balance. The only way your payment can change is if the vehicle is refinanced.

As for state taxes...it varies from state to state. I'm not sure if they're taxable in California or not, but I don't believe so. You should be able to tell for sure by looking at your sales contract though. Oh...and they're not taxable here in Massachusetts.

I just purchased the extended warranty from Troy, after discovering this site and seeing that I payed considerably a lot more for the warranty with the dealership I purchased the vehicle from.

I canceled my previous extended warranty plan which was a little over twice as much as troy/greenfield toyota is charging with this deal.

I'm totally pleased with this deal, and Troy was great to work with.

I just send you an email. I just purchased a 2005 Prius from the dealer with the extended warranty of 50k/4 yrs for 2300. And shortly, i found out this post I know I may not be eligible for your deal on this post since it needs to be within the first warranty..... but is there any alternatives for my car? any advices will be appreciated!

 

Unfortunately, if you're outside of the original factory 3/36K warranty only the selling dealer can issue a genuine Toyota Extra Care plan on it.
