Driving between Sacramento and Davis I tend to see a fuel cell vehicle on the freeway at least twice a month and each one is different. Here is one I saw today.

I also saw a big right dropping off a load of new Dodge Ram PHEVs this week!

Ive seen the Nissan Fuel Cell car a few times; once in Carmichael out where I live and a couple of times in West Sac where I work. Of course, the Calif Fuel Cell Partnership is located just off the freeway in West Sac.

I drove one of these at the last Altcar Expo in Santa Monica. Acceleration was incredible... it wants to go RIGHT NOW! :D

Out on the west coast, don't you guys have places to fill them? Out here, I've seen one of the Equinox fuel cell vehicles, but that's it. If there's a place to fill it, other than the GM training center in NY, it's news to me.

Yup. I drive by it all the time. I usually see the vehicles on the causeway between West Sac and Davis but this time I saw the Nissan on I-80 by Truxel and he followed me onto I-5 heading towards Arco Arena. I took the pic on I-5.

Sweet! I bet with the Hemi engine and the extra battery power the thing must be a beast off the line!

They are using the new Ram for data collection by driving them around Sacramento for the next year or so. They want to see how the battery fares in the real world. There are refilling stations in the area because we have the California Fuel Cell Partnership in town. We have two stations that I know of. One is at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and one is at the Fuel Cell Partnership location. I'm not sure if those are for the public though. Here is a station map for California.

Um, I think we're talking apples and oranges here. I was referring to the Nissan fuel-cell vehicle, not a plug-in hybrid with an ICE.
