for me its the gas thing. getting gas for the Prius requires a 200 yard detour from my regular commute. unfortunately the gas station (Costco) is located on one of the busiest intersections in town so that detour costs me on average about 20 minutes. but only have to go thru that 2-3 times a month.

my Leaf otoh, i charge 4-5 times a week but then again, that only takes about 15 seconds and the traffic in my garage is always pretty light...

Here's my input on my dislike list of the prius...

    1. Price (too high, even in Thailand where it's also built so cheaper than imported)
    2. Seat heater (Why in hell did they come up with the idea that seat heater was usable in Thailand??)
    3. Foot light (just bothers me since it's supposed to save fuel, and have this always on light)
    4. The constant looks from other people that likes it (well.. nice but after the first 10 times that I have to explain what i hybrid is.. well it gets time consuming:))

So in general I have never been so pleased with a car, and it's not the last hybrid I will get, next step is either a Lexus or Infiniti, unless Toyota comes up with a new 1,8+ version.

That everyone in Cali has one. My relatives were visiting and that's all they comment on as we drive. "Oh look another one!"

Yes it is. Most things in Canada will function the same way as the US model (why certify two models when you can certify one)

I love my prius for all the reasons you by one GAS MILEAGE!
Comfort is subjective the seats are not all that comfy .
That being said the ONLY complaint is the Bluetooth after speaking with Toyota they will not ever address this issue.
I feel we did not get our monies worth there at all.
No one can hear me if I yell then Im told Im muffled .So yes that is my dislike and dissapointment .Hidden screen to adjust is of no use either (just incase someone thinks I didnt do that first )
thanks for listening I just had to get that off my chest .

After 3 days of owning Prius, one thing I don't like about Prius is its interior plastic material. It's extremely easy to get damaged.

I plan to wrap them in either 3M 1080 or Di-Noc so it doesn't really matter.

you should play "Spot the Leaf" there are only a few hundred of those in San Fran. the Prius game will get old as soon as someone hits 1,000 sightings which should only take an hour or so.

My observation after 1 week of ownership:

    - Wind noise
    - Lack of power in default mode
    - Windshield glare at night
    - Interior plastic easily get damaged/scratched

As others have noted in these forums, changing between normal (default), eco, and power doesn't do anything except change the accelerator's response profile. I take that to mean (and have perceived) that if you put the pedal all the way to the floor, in any mode, you have the same maximum amount of power. The only difference is that in power mode, you just reach the maximum with less pedal pushing.

    Agreed.

I hated the looks of my gen 2 but it has sort of grown on me. It's been incredibly reliable and easy to live with but I would like to get an Ampera EU version of the Volt but soooooo expensive

I hate the look of the OEM 15" inchers. The design of the wheels is OK, but they look too small for the vehicle. I will upgrade to 17" eventually.

Already got a paint chip in the hood after owning for less than a week. It's even worse than Subaru paint. Good news is I've become an expert in applying touch paint using a tooth pick.

    My dislikes:
    Rattles, rattles, rattles
Armrests are uneven, and too low
No search function for USB audio.
ATP won't brake the car to a stop. You get to have a 9mph crash.

I love or have learned to love everything else about this vehicle. I plan on keeping my GEN III V ATP for at least 10 years.

    Dislikes:

-Wind Noise at speeds over 70mph
    -Plasic scratches real easy
-Radio plastic shows finger print smudges real easily
-Driver's seat in non-leather is very uncomfortable on tips longer than 30 minutes.
-No lumbar support in cloth seats
-At slow speeds you can sometimes hear the electric motor whine noise

I've only driven my Two for 3 days and have found very little to fault. The only items:

    - The gear shift lever is counterintuitive to me. Over-and-forward should be drive. Over-and-back should be reverse. It should be like the shift control on a powerboat rather than a poor imitation of an automatic transmission (P)RND(L). Last time I checked, I never start in neutral on my cars with automatics.

    - I needed to buy new sunglasses that weren't polarized. Most of the left side of the eyebrow display and the center stack radio and HVAC displays essentially disappeared when viewed through polarized glasses.

    - I agree that more power in normal mode would be nice, but I'm adjusting.

    - My foot tends to hit the lower valence when I exit the car. Something else I'll get used to.

    - It feels like it needs beefier sway bars.

    - I should have bought one sooner.

Overall, I've very pleased with the seat comfort, interior room, and indicated 50 MPG. (Heck after 180 miles, it's still well above 1/2 tank.) I actually like the center eyebrow display because, being tall, the top of the steering wheel often obstructs some gages on other cars.

I have my USMC license plate frame on the car and the obligatory NRA sticker in the rear window. I should also find one of those PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals - stickers for the back. Then I have to figure out a good solution for winter winter tires and wheels.

This was actually made louder than the Gen 2. I suspect Toyota was thinking that the law may lean towards noise so they were hoping with a louder inverter, that the law won't pass (and thus an extra part has to be created).
