Yours looks good Charles although you could use a better picture to display it. :p

My car with the Eibachs doesn't really ride harder per say but it does bounce a bit more when going over bumps. Hit a hard bump and the tires will rub for a split second. There is no damage done when this happens.

I find that the tires made the biggest difference to ride harshness. My 15s with the lowering springs is still kinda cushy even with the tires at 44/42psi. When I put the 17s back on the ride does become harder but the car handles a lot better and looks a 1000 times better so I leave them on. I still find the 17s comfortable at 50/48psi. The tires are designed for luxury touring sedans like Mercedes and BMW so.....

Scotty- Guess I should have checked here before I PM'd you. I was wondering how the car looked with the springs. I'm glad you're pleased with them. I just got a new set of race compounds and will be autox-ing on the 18th. I'll try to post some pics from the event.

Any of you with handling mods should really try autocross. Yes, with your Prius.... You would be surprised what these things will do. Need some motivation?? Check this out , Prius about mid way down the page is me. Enjoy.

I'm working on that. Want to get a GoPro but that will probably be next season. I'll see if I can borrow one for a couple runs at the next event.

If you can that would be great. It's fun to watch you hit those corners in a Prius. Most people never expect to see these cars anywhere but in the parking lot. When I can afford to do so I'm taking your advice on the TRD rear bar and the Corolla front bar. Thanks! :)

The autocross stuff is insane - thanks for documenting this!

I'm still in love with the dropped look and handling . . . I can't believe that I waited for 75,000 miles to do this mod!

I agree with the others.. Auto-x in the Prius must be pretty cool, although in my case, I would have the wrong package for it. A IV with SRP and all the bells and whistles just adds up to more weight that needs to be removed.

Paul - How are the brakes holding up? The suspension can be modded, but the brakes (and acceleration) seem to be Achilles heal (at least it does on mine).

I just picked up a GoPro for my upcoming trip in 2 months (I know, a little bit early). I haven't done anything with it yet, but hopefully I'll get a chance to test it a little bit before I go. You'd be surprised just how small the actual camera is!

Maybe I can try to get some pics of my car or motorcycles with it and see how it works.

If we were closer, I'd bring it by and let you use it but WV is just a tad too far.

I'm no longer driving the Prius, now in a '11 Honda Fit Sport. Lowered, of course, this time with Tein springs and upgraded dampers, and a rear sway bar. Stock 16" wheels and tires (tires aren't great but I'm not going to replace them until they wear out).

Sort of a stealth stock look.

Drop is 1.6" all the way around. Ride has become stiffer but I like it that way. The car handles rather well now, and it comes stock with a switch that turns off the vehicle stability control. I wish the Prius had one for the traction control, but didn't.

Missing the Prius MPG (mid 30s is what I'm getting in the Fit), liking the more direct driveline and shorter wheelbase. And that little 1.5 is a gem.

I'm going to grab one of those HD Go Pro units as well . . . but it will be used for surfing, not auto X. I guess I could film some epic pulse and glide sessions, but I think people would get bored very quickly lol

I ended up going for a drive in the new Plus model, and it's awesome. I wish that the car had 18's, but it did feel very solid and handled bumps much better than my setup. I just convinced by business partner to grab a 2011 IV - he's really pumped. I did all of the selling - the sales guy just sat back and took everything in :)

I think your wright not harsher but firmer on hard bumps. We were running well over inflated until some one noticed our rating so dropped front to 50 rear to 48 yes it dose make it harsher. but help with mileage. I looking into Parking sensors for front bumper to prevent more curb damage. 04's have a different belly pan than later cars, drains hang lower and get smacked. Do have more photos but most are prior to wheels.

auto-x don't think the other 1/2 would go for it, use to do it in the 80's with a lowered 1997 MGB,
with gear oil in the shocks, was a blast but you would hi-center in a std driveway. To be young and uninhibited again.

I know it's not a Prius, but here's my Fit, lowered. Makes any car look better in my opinion, and handling is much improved (and it wasn't bad to start with).
