Tire plug in the new prius from a dealer

    I got my new 2011 prius 2 from a dealer in NY and after 2 weeks i saw that the low tire pressure warning lighted up...

    upon inspection found there was a plug (tire repair) on the side wall of the front left tire...needless to say i was :rant:
    not because of the plug but because they never told me.

    anyone else got a similar surprise ?

    Repairing a puncture in the sidewall is a huge no-no. I would demand a new tire.

    Definitely demand a new tire. I wonder what idiot tried a plug a sidewall...???

    i just dropped off the car and told them about it. they said they knew nothing about it and this is how it came from where ever they got it from... but they are changing the tire for me caus the plug was on the upper part of the sidewall..

    So they're saying that got the car from a dealer swap and they didn't inspect it very well. They should at the very least apologize profusly and give you a couple free oil changes.
