well, the new camry remains to be seen, but i have never been able to pull off more than 46 or 7 at best in the 08. i would love to hear from someone who has gotten 55! honestly, if you can do that in the fusion, you're almost making the prius obsolete!

I am new to this Forum

I own the Fusion Hybrid after my Gen II Prius. Bought the Fusion because I like the style and will only own Hybrid. The Fusion is easy to pulse and glide and going miles at 45 mph is easy and rewards with high mileage. I am averaging slightly less than my Prius but not by much 2-3 mpg. I now have over 28,000 miles and have had no problems.

I share driving this car with the wife it is her main car and I only drive it when she is not using it. If it were only me it would have a better long term mileage than the 44.8 that it has since new. I can get 60's and 70's on in town driving only on short trips like 5 - 10 miles. The highway is a different story but it does get better highway than the sticker. It will easily get 42 – 45 on the highway depending on wind hills and speed.

Here is an interesting test I thought I would share but have to have five post first. For anyone interested just Goggle Ford Fusion Record mileage 81.5 mpg

what is 2-3 mpg's less than your prius? i can get 40 -45 in the hycam, but i can get 60-70 in the prius. if you can get 70 around town, the new fusion should be good for 80!

Obviously reliability would be a concern.

    Tony,
A big thank you on the Fusion Updates. I always have liked the cars' styling, now with the hybrid version, I will probably will add one with my "08 Prius.
