    Does the new v have the 'noisemaker' system now? Didn't notice it last night. I thought all 2012 hybrids are getting it.

    I am looking at either the Blizzard Pearl or Clear Sky myself. I wanted to see it in person. It looks very nice on the Toyota sites.

    All of the Prius v Demos I've seen at press events, TMS trips, etc have had the noisemakers. They're kinda subtle and not obvious from the driver's seat unless you have the windows down and radio off. If you're driving next to a wall at low speeds, you may detect it.

    Like I said in the "comfort" thread -- I *tried* really, really hard to hear the noisemaker with the radio off, the windows down, and cruising slowly in electric mode next to a concrete wall. Couldn't hear it!

    I heard something very subtle today in the car that went to SB. While braking and coming to a stop at an interesection..... So that's what that was!!!!

    I picked up my v tonight from the dealer, and when my wife was parking it in the garage I too heard something that I could not identify coming from the front of the car. "Subtle" is a good explainatiion of the sound I heard. The dealer never mentioned it to me.

    Dianne, how would you characterize sales so far? Brisk? Moderate? Terrible?

    I know it's probably hard to characterize before the first weekend. Just trying to gauge what consumer interest in this product is like.

    Gosh, you tell me. I started Sunday night with 20 listed. Now, I have just 11 left available, 4 days later. :p

    There are only 2 on ground left of the 11 still unsold and that's just because they arrived at 7am this morning. I give them 8 hours on this lot before they are also gone.

    The other 9 units are either inbound this coming weekend or they are still afloat, coming after the 11/2 boat docks.
