As part of writing up http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...mileage-gets-worse-in-winter.html#post1411488, can a Gen 3 owner w/some means of monitoring ICE RPM (e.g. ScanGauge II, Torque app, tach, etc.) tell me what's the max speed you can travel at and still have ICE RPM at 0?

I'm not asking about the max speed for EV mode.

    I have no Gen 3, so I can't verify.

Unless the car is too cold, or too hot inside, or if the battery is too low or too full, then the ICE will run at about 900 rpm and put out either 0 hp or about 4 hp depending on uncertain factors even if you are coasting in neutral. It is like it has a mind of its own. It is not a straightforward design.

Sorry, I probably should've preceded my question w/the assumption that the ICE is warmed up. I'm aware of the "5 stages".
