Ditto here. I checked photos of the Husky mats online and they looked a bit clunky. I figured I didn't need an hermetic seal; basically just wanted something that works better than the pathetic Toyota mats that I paid an outrageous $200 for. Since the OEM front mats are black for the bisque interior, I got black Weathertech front mats, plus a gray Weathertech cargo mat to match the gray carpeting back there. I'm completely happy with them! For the rear seats (which get little use in my case), I'm using the OEM mats.

I liked the Weathertech cargo mat so much I got one for the Insight-I cargo area as well. My dog is also a big fan of the Weathertech cargo mats.

I know WeatherTech has several pleased customers, but the mats are so expensive. I use Weather Fortress. They are an international company that sells around the world. For the price, they are unbeatable! The sell on ebay and the Posh Pile website.

I find it hard to belive they do not leak. You can take a pic of this section of your mat? [IMG]

When I get any water on the mat it flows over that small lip and does this.

Well after much debate, (too much for darn floor mats), I purchased the fit Husky brand. I feared I would get much less of a Mat by forgoing the more expensive and nicely marketed Weathertech. However after using two sets of the fit husky brand, in both of our 2011 Prius cars , I can't see how any mat could protect more and/or fit better. My advice is save the money (in my case $160 per car) and try the Hushy mats.

    My 2 cents only.....

I ordered the Husky floor mats and just love them and worth every penny. I ordered the $100 Weathertech Cargo mat and while they look and fit great...they are really just a THIN piece of plastic that should not cost more than $50. I should have got the husky cargo mat too which was much less.

Okay, I've just read this entire thread and I think I'm going with the Husky simply due to price.

BUT the devilish side of me wants to spend extra $$$ on the Weathertech, post how great they are after having them in my car and then wait for another post with the two pictures of how they leak around the back left corner.:boink:

And if a picture is worth a thousand words, than spare the words and just post the pictures everytime.

I got the weather tech mats for the front today. Great fit, very well made. I've used Husky liners for years in my jeeps. Nice but, edges folded over and not as thick as weather tech. Fit and finish much nicer with weather tech.

Give the WeatherTech mats a couple of months. They will fold over also. Here is a pic of mine.

Or maybe it won't fold over. I've had mine for years and no such thing has happened. Maybe you just got a bad set?

Maybe they are a bad set. I emailed and called WeatherTech many times. They never respond. I hate companies like that. That is why I spend a little extra time posting the flaws.

I have many accessories for the car that I am very happy with. The WeatherTech mats are not one of them. They have major design flaws.

I wonder if they changed material used in construction between our purchases. If I suffered the same issues you have then I would be just as annoyed. I appreciate your pictures. They really illustrate the problems.

Glad I read all 26 pages of this thread, I've used Weathertech products in the past, not the front floor mats. I can't imagine making a set of mats that are supposed to contain liquid and mud and then punch two holes in the bottom and expect them to keep water off the carpet. I almost ordered the Weathertech mats till I saw the pics with the small lip on the back corner and the stupid holes. When I order, I'll be getting the Husky mats, they don't have holes in the bottom.

The clip holes are raised up off the bottom and therefore do not leak unless you dump a lot of water into the mat. The clips are there to keep floormats from slipping under or over the gas pedal. It's a safety issue. If you want to hold enough water to sustain goldfish then the Weathertech units may not be for you. I've never had a leak but I don't live in snow country where heavy treaded boots could accumulate enough snow to cause a problem like it did for Judgeless.

Goldfish, now that''s a novel idea. LOL I've not seen a set of the Weathertech in person and the raised area around the holes makes sense, but not visible in the photos I've seen. The Weathertech will probably work in most situations, but when I order, the price difference will sway me toward the Huskys.

I got the "Husky Liners 98562 Grey Custom Fit Front and Second Seat Floor Liner Set" and it worked very well and cost much less.

I didn't compare to the weathertech because I don't have it. But for budget buyers, Husky works!

PS. The Husky liner I got doesn't have the holes mentioned above for the driver side piece.

Anyone use the Husky tan floor mats with a bisque interior? Trying to find the closest color match as the Weathertech looks too brown. Been through the pages and not trying to restart Husky vs WT.

I just installed a set of Husky tans in my 2011 with bisque interior. I like this color combo better that the oem black carpeted floor mats, which tended to highlight a lot of lighter colored grit and sand.

Yes the tan is darker than the interior bisque color, but to my eye it appears appropriate on the floor. They fit well, though not perfectly on all perimeters (as has been discussed elsewhere). Because of the close fit, and nibs on the back, they don't move at all. And my shoes don't slip on them, which was my one concern since they're made of some kind of thermoplastic material.

I like and would recommend them to you.
