For the bloated price they were going for no wonder they had so many available to let go to Car Rental Agency's. That being said, I would like to rent one for a week and play with it on vacation! Venice is just down the hill.... the ride to the ocean in the Prius is great, it's coming back uphill that drags that MPG down! I would like to see how the Volt would handle the same route?

No, my wife and I are fortunate that we both have good jobs, no kids and 6 weeks of Vacation a year.WooHoo! Working for the same company for over 30 years has it's perks!:D

Oh hell yes, I am just not open minded about the overblown price! I think their technology is well worth looking at. I would really consider renting one for a week, or two and planning a little trip up and down the California coast. We love to stay at Bed and Breakfast Inns and a trip up US 1 on a sunny day is quite delightful.
I am also very interested in the Leaf. however planning a trip with that would take much more effort, and a long extension cord!

    good. :)

I like the Prius PHV better for my commute (100mi/day round trip), but I am certainly not a Volt hater. I would like to see more Volts on the road.

Btw, I saw two new Volt commercials on television last night:
