    Totally off my diet... I usually have canned sardines and a can of veggies... well, for the last year and a half that is... it's helped me roll off 85 pounds these last 2 years... 30-35 to go and I'll be at the target I set 3 years ago...

    But hey, I need to have a good meal at least once a week, or I'll go nuts...

    Personally, I would have prefered we go to BJ's Brewhouse for the Jambalya... which is the best in town BTW... but I guess I'll have to settle for some Hong Kong Chow Mein since I'm not the one picking where we're going to have the lunch meeting...

    No Dim Sum today... I do want some Dim Sum... but since I also haven't had a fine Hong Kong style chow mein in a while... I don't think I want to overindulge with the calories just to appease my taste buds...

    Hope you have a good lunch today too...

    What do they serve at Frank Fat's. I've never heard of it.

    I had eaten at Fat's for lunch today...

    The scallops were perfect, the BBQ pork loin was as good as it gets, the chicken breast was succulent and generous, the shrimp were not shrimps - they were as big as the top of a soda can, the two kinds of mushrooms were perfectly sized, the sprigs of broccoli were cooked just right, the cabbage and celery had texture and an unadulterated familiar flavor of their own, the zucchini was sliced into dollars about 2 mm thick and weren't mushy, and the carrots were not overdone, all of which was presented on a bed of fried noodles and the perfect amount of savory sauce to accompany the marvelous medley of the aforementioned ingredients...

    It was good meeting, we made some consensus regarding items in three reports we're in the process of pushing up to management... and the food was good enough that conversation was often diverted to comment on the last bite that one had... everyone there but me enjoyed a piece of banana pie before we left... if the pie was as tasty as the last time I shared a slice - and it looked like the same pie, I know I missed out... but alas, I did have a lot of food that I had already consumed sitting at the round table near the front...

    Mila didn't remember ever eating there... we're all like :jaw: :ear: :pound:
    :director: :lalala::horn:

    YES MILA, YOU WERE HERE... YOU HAD THE SAME DISH... AND TOOK THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME THINKING ABOUT IT...

    :hungry:

    She was still... :noidea::noidea::noidea:

    We all wished her well on finding her way home.

    What is your BMI? fat %?

    I lost ~10% since beginning of the year (not entirely intended), mostly through abs work (pilates) plus exercise. No real diet, just avoiding sweets/junk and making sure to get enough veg/fruits.

    With abs turned out you can't eat as much when they tighten up. 6-pack is just a side effect.

    a little more than 10 years ago, I was over 300...

    In high school I was 220, but not really fat... the Army got me to 210 after boot...

    Today I weigh the least amount since becoming a man... less than I weighed as a soldier... just not as arrogant or cocky about myself these days... but lord it's hard to be humble.

    And I hate exercise... absolutely loath it... but I enjoy doing work that is physical and strenuous... like repairing the houses we have bought over the last couple of years... I try now to have high calorie stuff when I know I will be working it off...

    I can't wait until tomorrow... I get to have oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for breakfast... before I go dig some ditches for the sprinklers in the back yard.

    This is the problem too many people see exercise as going to gym and working on treadmill/exercise machines. I hate that too 1hr a week is enough.

    BUT you can get a really good workout from hobbies, be that hiking, biking, skying, gardening or martial arts. Yoga, dancing lessons, bow hunting, hand gliding, mountain biking, paintball, etc. As long as you get 7hr a week.

    A few years back I used bicycle to commute to work. It increased my commute time from 2.25hr to 3, but I was getting 2h workout every day.

    good luck with your goal
