I'm wondering if all Prius v's are coming standard with the same make/model of tires (16").

What make/model of tire (16") did your new Prius v come with?

I have a Prius v three, which came with Bridgestone Turanza El400-02 ecopia,
    P205/60R16, service description 91V (V is speed rating-to 149mph), silly.
The Uniform Tire Quality Rating (UTQR) is 260 treadwear, traction A, temp A.
Apparently, in general, the higher the speed rating, the lower the treadwear,
because a softer compound is used in higher speed rated tires.

I didn't realize the treadwear rating on the Prius v two and three was 260, I think
this equates to a 40,000 mile waranty. Looks like I won't get 62,000 miles from the
OEM, like I did with my 2005 Prius with Goodyear Integritys'.

I did not realize the tires on the Prius v five were better, as this is a good reason to purchase
the v five over the v two or three, in addition to the other features. I think the treadwear rating for
the tires on a v five is 480, which may be warranted to 60,000 miles (just a guess).

    Prius v two, Yokohama BluEarth S34's, 205/60-16 V91.

First 3 responses, 3 different makes of tire!

There are V rated tires with decently high treadwear like the Primacy MXM4 (UTQG 500) which comes on the Lexus ct200h. Sometimes the OEM version of a tire has a lower treadwear or max pressure rating compared to the aftermarket version of the same tire.

My new Prius v Three came with Michelin Energy Saver A/S. UTQG of 480, speed rating 'V'. Very quiet, smooth running tire. Have Blizzak WS-70's on now for the anticipated deluge of white stuff.

Interesting all the different brands. You would think that Toyota would pick what they consider the best and stick with it! Personally, I'm hoping for either the "BluEarth" or the Michelin's.

I'm assuming that is the 205/60/16 Michelin Energy Saver A/S at 810 RPM.

Nice tire, do not know which is better between the three but since the Michelin is tested and a known quantity right now I'd pick it if I had to choose between 3 OEM tires.

I've been trying to learn more about these tires or the BluEarth-1 version of this tire. They will be available in the North American market in 2012 and they appear to be another great LRR tire. They stand out among other LRR tires in that they use much less petroleum during manufacturing and the manufacturing plant itself is very eco friendly. I've been very happy with the dB Super E-Spec tire; the original orange peel oil tire.

Could you please provide your opinion on these tires? They will likely perform worse than the aftermarket version but the OEM version is all we have to go on for now.

For more info on the aftermarket version see my LRR tire thread: The latest post.

Thought I'd drop in with an update since I just picked-up my v3. Mine came with the Yokohama BluEarth S34's. Just what I wanted... They seem a little more "green" than the others out there. We'll see how they hold up in the long run...

Same here. The Toyos look great but, from the posts, they are no stranger to early sidewall failure. We'll have to keep a particularly close eye on them.
