That Prius is blacker than my cat. And that's black.

I was planning on wheels eventually but I was forced to get these today. I hate when the snowbirds come "home" for the winter. They cannot drive. Gotta love South Florida in the winter.......

Looks good. They are similar to the wheels I was considering but black wheels are being played out in my area. :(

Good thing seniors tend to stay home when dusk is upon them or they'd never see you!

Yeah, they look good up close.

Probably just the picture, my first thought was the car was running on inner tubes.
OP, if you like it, it's cool.

    its the exposure

when he metered it he had the camera set on an average metering mode when he ought have used 'spot' metering. Spot metering would expose the frame for the car, but the leaves the rest of the image rather bright, so its a compromise.

this is a difficulty with cameras which do not see the world like us. They can only render about half the dynamic range we can see with out eyes, that is to say, about half the scene brightness and darkness from absolute black to absolute white.

As a result cameras have trouble with dark subjects in bright surrounds, and looking into shadows. In this way they need some help in operation sometimes

    Looks good...up close.
From 100-feet away, it looks like somebody stole yer hubcaps.
BUT.....I'm an old fart, so you should never listen to me about car fashion opinions.

Like they say in the M/C world....YOU have to ride YOUR ride.

    Good Luck!!!

I like it. The black wheels look good on a black car. Are those front window tints legal? Couldn't get away that dark on the fronts here :(

I agree with sidecar. The camera is at fault here. In person you would see much more detail. If the sun had been shining on the driver's side the car wouldn't look so back and the wheels wouldn't have been so shadowed. The car looks nice. It's just a bad picture. :)

Actually the tint is 20% all around. It came out much darker than I thought but I was pleased.

    The Pri has a new name........Darth Vader.....LOL

I never even thought how "black" it was going to be with the wheels but you are all correct, he is DARK..

Ok now I might change the emblems to black chrome, get some 04-05 taillights and keep going dark theme.....

This "old Fart" thinks you can't see out of the windows with that tint.
