Well, after looking at the v and deciding I wasn't old enough our young enough to get one, I am back on the Plus.

I found out that the Plus is a Port Installed option package (S1), after many inquiries to local dealers who didn't know what I was talking about. There is one at a local dealer that is part of their loaner fleet, if you can believe such a thing. I may drive that tomorrow if it is not loaned out. If I like the ride, I will order an in-coming IV, and have the package installed in Baltimore (our local POE, I think).

Does anyone have experience with this particular package? Having lowered my Solara years ago, I know the ride changes. Is it quieter, smoother, bumpier, and most importantly, does the kit actually improve fuel mileage as Toyota claims?

Also, I am still deciding on silver, black or winter grey. Since my neighbor just got a winter grey ct200h, I probably won't go that way. So don't be shy, chime in with your thoughts and observations.

    Thanks.

The mpg difference will be hard to measure.

The ride is a bit rougher but overall the car is MUCH sportier feeling and it looks WAY better than the standard package. Just do it!

I am a sales manager of a Toyota Dealership and I just bought a 2011 Prius III and am kinda wishing I bought the Plus package instead. I have been walking by it everyday on the way to my car and it keeps looking better and better.
I think it is worth the extra money. I have already ordered eibach springs and now I am looking for wheels....should have just bought the Plus

I just bought Eibach springs for my 2010 Prius III myself. I love the wheels on the Plus but I'm sure that Toyota wants a fortune for them. Does anyone know how much they weigh? Is the body kit available to add on to models that didn't come with it?

Nope is the short answer. You can't get the kit components unless you provide a VIN for a vehicle that was ordered with the package in the first place. I still don't understand this.

Anyway, hardly any dealer knows about this. I found out that it is a port installed option. I guess I have to order the package on an in-bound car.

Hopefully in time the kit will be available. :)
