Brushed Aluminum Dash kit

    I know we have had endless discussions regarding Dash Kits, with pictures of several wood examples. He are a few photos of my Blue Ribbon Blue 2011 Five with a Brushed Aluminum Kit. It took about 3 hours to complete the job, it was a 35 deg. day. Needless to say I had to keep the car warm, and use a hair dryer to keep the applicues pliable, there was some sanding and trimming to get the product to fit it's function. The kit was $114.95 plus shipping.

    Does it match the steering wheel's (plastic) metallic color? What happens in bright sunlight - would it be distracting to the driver or passenger?

    It's pretty close to the factory silver plastic ,as you can see.
    No, there is no reflection problems. I had samples of real brushed aluminum, and there was a potential problem with reflection.

    Not my choice but it looks like a nice match. I like the darker, muted interior colors as they seem to be less of a distraction. I have silver accents on my 09 Corolla & I've been thinking of a way to change the color to match the darker center color. You can see what I'm talking about in this pic, drives me crazy! :sick:
