Prius C Release date?

    Does anyone know approximately when the Prius C will hit dealers? I'm looking at trading in my Tacoma for one of these.

    We may know more when it is debuted at the Detroit Auto Show in January, but for now it's simply Spring 2012.

    I read that the release date will be in March.... It did not say when but im excited to get one when it does come out :D

    these are for fleet and are always 1-2 months late... for instance, Camry Hybrid started selling late November, not January/February...

    Read March as well (actual deliveries)... Was in the monthly sales call...( i read transcript, I am not in industry...).

    I've been bugging the dealers around here for the past week and have eventually gotten what I've been looking for.

    All toyota dealers will have a showroom model of the prius C on March 1st.
    A "soft sell" of the prius c will start on March 5th.
    Full sales start on March 12th.

    I've still only gotten wishy-washy answers about pre-orders and placing deposits on allotted cars....

    Here in southern UT, they have 3 incoming any day now. Sales rep with whom I spoke didn't have a clue as to when they officially go on sale.

    Up here in the rainy northwest the local Toyota dealer
    there does not seem to be very much interested in
    the Prius C. Its like it doesn't even exist.....

    (a) As Dianne Whitmire noted the amount of cs they'll get depends on other hybrid sales.
    ( b ) They don't want to sell you a lower-margin hybrid when it arrives. They want to sell you something else now for more profit, like a 2012 Prius liftback, 2012 Prius v or anything else.

    Do not believe what they tell you. Sometimes it's just plain ignorance but it's more likely misleading you in an attempt to get you to buy something else.

    Same here on Long Island, NY. A few weeks ago the local dealer told me the C was "just a concept car" and more recently they said they don't know when any are coming in.
