Looking for some new wheels and have narrowed it down to a few options. I have deep tinted windows and would like to see what the car would look like with these wheels. Can anyone photoshop these pics to tint the windows deep black?

Agreed. The total blacked out wheel look is played.

I never liked the blacked out wheel look at all .... never understood the look. Buy $200 wheels that you can't see ?

To be honest, I don't like the ones on the left either ... to me they look like it has whitewalls. What ever happened to nice silver wheels ? I hate the black look and I really don't like the 2 tone look with black either.

I'd keep looking .... not trying to tick you off ... I just don't personally like it. I think the MOMO Winter II wheels are some of the nicest wheels I've seen, and they;re inexpensive and look great on Prii.

I agree.... I hate the gray and black wheels....they just look like filthy wheels that are totally caked over with brake dust and severely need washed and detailed! lol! I probably spent a significant chunk of my life spraying stuff on my different wheels, and polishing inside all the grooves and corners. I think gray or black wheels would have made my life a lot easier, looking back! jk

If I was forced to do these wheels, though, I'd do the ones on the left, and then do chrome handles on the doors...

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I like the silver ones Drag Dr19, i just don't like the polished lip. Can't find an alternative so far that i like better. Guess I'll keep looking before picking these.

The Drag DR 19's look good in silver, too, and I also like the DR 40's in gun metal, but I am old school. I grew up with 5-spoke mags.

I dislike black on silver. Silver looks best on sliver.

I do not have enough mileage under my belt to know MPG loss, but all I can say is the 18s look great on this car...fills the fenders nicely.

So i've decided to go with the Drag 19's in Gunmetal finish (the wheels on the left in original post).. Any suggestions on tires and sizes ? (saw several setups in the wheel thread) Don't want the expense of LRRs.

Unless the car was free to you, I cannot grasp your reasoning.

I'm sure he means the MPG hit that you will take with such a heavy wheel & by adding a non-LRR tire you will hurt your MPG even more. If you got the car for free then maybe you don't care about your MPG.

    ^^ Yep.

I apologize for the following coming out crass: you story sounds like a kid who received a Prius for free, but you have say $1000 to mod the car so that it looks like all the others in the HS parking lot. I expect your MPG to below in the 30s overall, and no offense; but at this point I don't understand the Prius purchase at all. A torquey diesel or a vroom-vroom Mazda would have been a lot cheaper.

You know, the Prius (and its HSD) are a pinnacle in engineering in auto manufacturing today, but that does not mean the car is Superman. It has a slew of trade-offs built-in so that next-decade fuel economy is here today. Just a few off the top of my head:

    * Extreme aero design
    * More blind spots than my CT 200h
    * Tyre choices that favor low resistance over grip
    * A Whiny engine at high RPM
    * Interior materials that favor the environment and cost/weight instead of noise dampening and squeaks.

I'll be glad to be way off base. Lots of people mod their Prius, but in general they have embraced the Prius reason to exist: a smaller environmental footprint car. Try it :)
