    But... I wasn't trying to claim just "some" number Bra...

    I did think, in my own mind, that there was a reason for my choice...

    And there were a number of times here I made a statement that made mention of this number...

    I even made strong statements that got close the border of arrogance...

    And then...

    I read a post, by a fella I think is a good example of a fella I could have a beer with... and lo and behold I step on my own... "principle"...

    I made an error... when I had my own mission... which, is why I said something at all.

    And again, in error, it appears I said what I was actually thinking...

    My reality is, for a moment... when I thought nothing except to say something to a fellow I say something to at more than one place evidently... I forgot my mission here.

    I know, I know... it's really not much to say something about... except if you are me of course... which, now... I see as inadequate to complete the mission I thought I was going to do...

    5213 is passed... just damn... it happened because I didn't pay attention...

    5213 is passed because I didn't ensure I was looking out for what I wanted to say in a moment of brotherhood and frivolity...

    I did it... and now I have to make another choice because the last one is gone.

    Gone forever, if I play fair.

    And me... to be honest Bra... I want to play fair, or... if you don't care if I play fair, I don't really want to play then.

    But that's just me...

    fuzzy & APK vote for the same number... for different reasons... both of which I was thinking...

    Hmmm...

    Now to ponder...


    Do I shoot for the first prime I could, and use it as a buffer to the next prime number because we all know I'm likely to open my mouth and get counted again... or do I go directly to the number that is also a prime that even a fellow dyslectic govt auditor would love... or rather not really notice that it changed...


    Hmmmm... I'm going to think about this before I go off and post somewhere to be counted until I can remain hidden from accomplishing any other post... while still being able to say hey to the folks that occupy a portion of my day.

    But frankly... 5213 was a bell-ringer for Jr... lots of reasons, none of which would impress most anyone else I am sure.

    It'll never be quite the same in my heart... and I did it to myself...

    The next number I peek at will be prime... I didn't choose it to be the number that I stopped at, because I thought something was guiding me to that number that I know shows up in a lot of my life... well, besides the variants of 8 first... but I do dig a good math note... so I'm thinking maybe a... a fuzzy-prime one it will be... :D

    Build yourself a cache of "special" numbers, amm0 - with only ten digits you could fabricate a dozen numbers that would have even greater personal significance for you than 5213. You only noticed 5213 because it correlated with certain things you didn't have to think about - it sort of created itself.

    But put together a list of personal significance items, preferably where each of these items is of even greater significance than anything 5213 represented. Then find some number that best represents each of these items. Use super glue for neurons or some other fast drying mental adhesive to stick assorted significance combinations together into finished numbers, until you've got about a dozen of them. Further reinforce them by making them prime (Google will find any prime you need).

    Now you're bulletproofed. With a dozen numbers representing things even more significant than the things 5213 meant, you can be careless as hell in the other forums and always have a new target to shoot for if you accidentally blast one. Simple.

    One should never get too attached to "natural" coincidental associations anyway - they emerged by accident, so lack the durability of deliberately created talismans.

    In a few weeks, with your new custom built numbers, you'll wonder why you were so fond of something so weak as what 5213 meant to you. Your life can't be so shallow that 5213, to the exclusion of every other possible number combination in the universe, meant the most to you.

    One more thought - I'll bet (but not Romney's $10K) that once you'd fastened on 5213 as being meaningful, you forced further associations that would not have otherwise led to it, but because you invested so much meaning into it, you made the attachments, and so made it even more meaningful. You crammed all your all your eggs into ONE basket, 5213, instead of maintaining the safety of multiple independent meaningful numbers. And not all of those eggs really fit the 5213 basket - you had to push them in there with assorted rationalizations - very easy to do, because with only ten digits it takes very little to find some reason to make an association.

    Personally, if one were to ask me what my most meaningful number was, I'd have to answer not one but several, with no clear "most meaningful" in the bunch. Life is full of dates of immense significance, addresses, registration numbers, telephone numbers, times of day that mean something, and on and on. To say that ONE and only ONE means the most of all would be confining and arbitrary.

    This is the 4th edit I've made to this post and it's a little disconcerting to find myself fascinated with something that, in the grand scheme of things, really has no significant meaning at all! Oh well.

    Also, 5213 is NOT a prime (it's 13 * 401).

    And I fecked it... it was me... nobody else but me...

    Soooo... now I gotta pick a new threshold of the uncounted...

    A bit of soul-searching is what I am going to do now to find out whether its 13 or 17 posts... or whether I start at the former and wait till my humanity leaks through again and I get counted to make me raise the number again to the latter...
