I assume you're coming from a European vehicle??

Speaking of European vehicles, I'd like the lane-change function for the indicators.

We are in Canada a were previously driving a Jetta. Where I come from, UP is on and DOWN is off. It's been a rough few weeks getting used to flicking the lever DOWN to turn the wipers on. ;)

    Well so am I lol.

My smart acted the way yours did (I had to remember it's the opposite). All the Japanese vehicles we've had had it down for ON and UP for MIST.

How about a GPS voice recognition system that understands basic English, it's unusable in my v Three while driving.

I'd like to see a suitable, secure storage solution for the rear seat headrests (my Previa and Sienna vans both had them). The headrests, frankly, obscure rear vision badly. For many of us who rarely have back seat passengers they are usually not installed, so how about a place they could clip into and don't slide around?

I'll second that one, especially on something as high priced as a Plug-in Advanced.

The voice NAV system is always good for a laugh when you forget to say everything I.E. the state.

On the Gen 3, they fold down. (One release button is to remove, the other is to raise the headrest. Use that one and raise it up then fold towards you)

Alternatively, you can take them out completely and store them in the underfloor bin.

    Display Audio I assume?

It may be a different voice recognition software than the Denso unit (Premium HDD)

Another thing I would change on the Prius is how the HVAC system works in auto mode. My 2005 Chrysler 300C HVAC has an auto lo and auto hi. It finally got really cold around here and driving my Prius with the HVAC system in auto mode is very annoying because the HVAC fan goes to max. Nobody likes listening to the fan run at max. It sure would be nice if the auto mode had a hi/lo fan setting. In auto lo mode the fan would only go to about 75% of max.

@Mike James; You can use the Eco mode to bump the fan speed down a couple of notches, even when it is in auto mode. This might not work if the vehicle is all warmed up. I'll have to check that next time I get the coolent up to 190 F.

I think I'd like to see the AR HSD drivetrain in the v. I'd give up a couple mpg for 200hp.

I'm not sure how many mpg it will actually lose with the AR HSD drivetrain. It's a bit lighter than the Camry and the extra torque means it can use a taller final gear ratio instead of the shorter one it's using now. City mpg may stay the same or improve slightly but highway may lower a bit as well (less aerodynamic than the Camry).

Some things that I've noticed over the past few days:
    - The mode and fan speed locations should be next to each other instead of bisected by the temperature since the steering wheel already has temperature controls, thus my primary use for the climate control dial would be for the mode and fan speed.
    - The off switch for the climate control and the recirculation mode switch should be swapped since there already is a recirculation mode button on the steering wheel.
    - It would probably make more sense if the gauge cluster, going from right to left, was speedometer, transmission mode, and then HSD display so that the drivetrain information gauges are in the same region (isn't the battery status next to the HSD display in the JDM model?) and so that the speedometer is ever so slightly closer to the driver.
    - Why couldn't Toyota keep the lower-profile JDM rear seat head rests in the NA version instead of giving us those humongous things?

I really really wished this is available on the v. I would be using it at least 6 months out of the year in Minnesota!

In addition, I would like heated seats and panoramic moon roof options for the v3, and one button on the remote to open trunk (power lift?).

I think the 200 hp engine would be a great idea and I'm probably deaming, but make a plug in v and keep the price to 36,000 or less, preferbly less. I think the extra 9 grand or so for a plug in is outrageous.

You can always go with aftermarket heated seats.

I agree the plug-in prices are insane. Keep the price under $30k if you want to play ball. $30k is the new $25k. It use to be keep it under $25k for the masses but with interest rates so low $25k is now $30k. Car makers be sure to thank Uncle Ben and the rest of the Fed board.

We are definitely looking into that, but are not saving that much money. I'm getting quotes of $1700 for aftermarket heated leather seats, plus or minus $100.

I had a tundra and they extended real nice.

I bet one could easily swap them out, they're just three screws...

Not sure if you have vanity mirrors on the visor or if they're in the roof like the liftback. Maybe size is a limit, but it's a possibility.
