I've had a parking light led bulb fall into the headlight housing once but I managed to fish it out using a paper clip with a loop of floss at one end. If you didn't have the hole plugged in, then it's possible that the loose bulb pinballed into the hole out somewhere in the engine area.

That's what I was thinking but that hole is so small and all the way on top guess i will search the engine bay later on. I'm just glad it is out of the housing.

Unless you can fish it out with something, you will probably have to dismount the unit and try to shake it out. Just a thought

Straighten a paper clip and cover one end with some masking tape (to avoid it scratching the unit). Create a small loop on a floss (small enough to catch the LED) and simply wrap the rest of floss around the paper clip down its length. Bend the paper clip to conform to the area you're working in and fish it out into the hole.
