Probably a dumb question but someone will set me right. I had a 2005 Prius and was able to check to see how my mileage was on each tank of gas I was using. I don't seem to be able to find that on the 2011 Prius. I can do it by trip it looks like but I like to just check as Im running thru a tank of gas. Am I missing something? I checked the owners manual but did not find the answer there either.

I reset trip odo #1 at each fill-up to get what you're looking for.

Gen3 does not automatically figure MPG per tank. You have to reset a trip meter yourself.

I get 420 miles per a full tank about 9.6 galons.

    1) The running average is displayed next to the CONS symbol on each tripmeter A and B.

    2) Doesn't quite make sense to me. When you fill up, reset a tripmeter and CONS gives you the avg. Well, close to the avg, it's 'generous' by about 5%.

    3) If you want a running estimate of how many miles you might travel on that tank, add the tripmeter distance to the 'distance to refill' amount (cycle thru with trip button to see).

    4) 3rd gen gives more trip information that 2nd gen.
