    Hi all,

So I have this hitch installed, and maybe I dreamt it, but is there a way to make the hitch removable when not in use? So the same way I remove the bike rack when I am done with the trip, I would like to remove the hitch without having to remove the 4 bolts that go into the frame. I swear I read it somewhere but now -of course- I cant find it...

I called a few RV places and they never heard of anything like that...? I think the way it worked is the same way that is used for the bike rack, 2 plates, one on each side, are permanently bolted and then 4 easy release pins bolt the hitch in place, lets say for the day, until you are done. When you get home you remove the bike rack AND the hitch, until the following weekend. Any ideas???

Thanks, see pic of what I have...

Never seen that in my life. Just using the normal hitch is sloppy enough. Can't imagine the mount itself being sloppy too. Yikes.

Hi Ed, I have a 2" adapter for the bike rack and it fits pretty tight inside the 1 1/4", and the bike rack is also very solid inside the adapter. No wobbling. If you have too much room try to wrap some think tape around the area, that will tighten it.
