I'm glad to see that I'm not the only 'standard trim' purchasing customer here who is excited about getting their new PiP! :)

(Seems like most people here on PC are purchasing the 'advanced trim' package).

I also received a Feb. build date. It looks like the east coast is getting early delivery dates too, I can't wait.:)

I got an email from my dealer first. he said my PIP is on his March 27th, allocation.
Then I got the email from Toyota mentioning the February build time frame.
I am glad to get the update.

Got my build info. This experince is really getting weird. It's the 4th time witnessing a significant rollout from the perspective of a participant. That means I already know what to look forward to.

A tranformation occurs. Others begin to realize the history taking place and a landslide of support materializes. It's as if there was never any doubt about the acceptance.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to contributing the excitement. It's as if my own PHV is already in the garage waiting for me to come up with another way of sharing experiences with it online. After all, having driven an early model, there are certain things I yearn to do again.

    Re: Prius Plug-in Updates

Alright! Just got another email from Toyota saying "they're plugin' away at my plug-in" and production is set for February. So I imagine I'll be heading to Putnam Toy in Burlingame sometime in March as well. Oh boy!

john1701a, Thanks! You convinced me back in 2004 to buy my first Pruis a 2005 and it has been a great car and fun to drive. Now I’m excited to get my Plug-in Built in February. Fun times for everyone!

If only it were that easy to drop a hybrid system into place.

Spero proprio di sì! Si stanno spendendo un sacco di soldi per questo. Meglio l'amore!

John, your car should be here, tentatively, between 2/28 and 3/12.

    We're so close now. Yeah!

It's hard to believe 1.5 years has already passed since I last plugged in that early model PHV.

In no time, I'll be driving all over with my own... filming, photoing, and blogging to my heart's content.

Then I'll be planning my first trip up north, complete with 2 bikes on back and a 3-wheeler inside.

    Re: Prius Plug-in Updates

A few days ago I received notice from Toyota. The only info was that the car will be built in Feb. We decided to take a trip to see our dealer, he had a little more info., not much but more than what I got from Toyota. The following is the info. on the dealer inquiry.
    Vessel Number: 808
    Vessel name: TMC Japan
    Prod Locked Date: 02/16/12

    Re: Prius Plug-in Updates

I searched vessel names at marinetraffic.com and did not find a vessel with that name. "TMC Japan" is probably just a place holder until the actual vessel is assigned. I don't think the car will be assigned to a vessel until after it is built. See this link for vessel names and tracking.

What happens if the car is there in 28 days, but the EPA hasn't released the sticker yet?

    Re: Prius Plug-in Updates

TMC Japan = Toyota Motor Corp, Japan.
It means the car isn't produced or slated for a vessel yet.
Every one of my many cars says TMC Japan on it.
