Hi guys, I won't do a long intro now because we have not bought the car yet. My name is Dan and I have a car addiction. LOL. I just love cars and have had many. My wife fell in love with the V today and so did our dog and 1.5 year old daughter. Originally we were going for a new Rav or CRV but we measured the space in the rav compared to the vrius today, and we're totally impressed at how comparable they were. I have awd in my car, so we don't need two cars with it. Love the fact that it does not resemble a mini van like I thought it wold. I am a fast car guy, but I do love hybrids and think that they are terrific in many aspects. Anyway, we want a red 2 or 3 and the dealer said they can make a deal and will sell it less than sticker....anyone think I can get them close to invoice or truecar.com price or is that wishful thinking?

So we took delivery on the exact car that we wanted yesterday...A 2012 Prius V 2 in Barcelona Red (dark grey interior) with Carpet floormats and a set of all-weather floormats thrown in by the dealer. We paid 26,7 and the sticker price was 27,385. They gave me a thousand over book value for my trade as well and lower-ish financing. Got a decent deal for the New York Metro Area and are LOVING the car. This is our first hybrid and I have always driven performance cars (Monte Carlo Z34, Taurus SHO, Subaru WRX, etc.), so the hybrid is a very different experience. Now I have my wife's 2010 Suzuki Kizashi AWD , which I love, and she will drive the Prius most of the time. We are already getting about 39 mpg which is amazing, and are just loving all of the extra room in the car for the baby and dog. I am sure we will keep this car for at least 150-200k miles. Now I get why Prius owners love their cars so much. I will be on here often, as I always am active on whatever forums exist for cars that we own. See you guys around
