The MSRP for the 'Advanced' trim of the Plug-in Prius is currently $39,525. How much would you be willing to pay for the added features of the 'Advanced' trim model?

    Specifically:
    1) If you ordered the 'Advanced' trim of the Plug-in Prius, how much more would you have been willing to pay to get it?

    2) If you ordered the 'Standard' trim (MSRP = $32,000), what price would have enticed you to upgrade to the 'Advanced' trim instead?

[Disclaimer: I do not work for Toyota marketing. I'm just curious.] :)

    I ordered the 'Standard' trim.

I guess I voted the same as you.. I was thinking $3k would be relatively fair (relatively being the keyword here).

But I figured leather interior is usually like $1000 more (I know its Softex, but still.. this is being marketed as an "upscale" option.. not like the pleather in BMWs as an alternative to real leather.. how much of that is true, I dont know..).

The upgraded HDD navigation and the access to the smartphone apps would probably be worth another $1000 to me. Then the remaining goodies, say another $1000.

Truthfully speaking, if the Advanced package was priced at $35k, I would've gone for it.

Oops.. when I voted, there was only one other vote, which was $35k so I naturally thought it was you :p

Probably $5k to me. $1k for SofTex, $1k for HDD Nav (even though I know they charge as much as $3k but when PNDs are under $500, 2x the cost for 2x the screen size and resolution plus POIs seem reasonable). $1k for LED headlights w/ washers, $1k for PCS and DRCC, $200 for fogs, $800 for power driver's seat.

Amazingly, there are still no votes from people who actually ordered the 'Advanced' trim. Maybe they would have paid more, buying 'top of the line' no matter what (and are afraid to let Toyota know). :)

I don't get this poll. Obviously I was willing to pay the 7K difference or I wouldn't have ordered the advanced trim. Would I have paid more? We'll never know, but probably not, since I'm still considering canceling.

I voted 40k because that's what I am paying for my Advanced model. Any more and it'd be hard to swallow. The Softex, LED headlights, split screen HDD nav system, remote Climate and charge state (I know i have to pay for the service eventually), and DRCC are all worth that much to me.

Meh. No thanks. Well, I wouldn't even pay $32,000 for the base plug-in and nothing on the list would make me pay more.

I'm probably the first to vote "no advanced package" and it is simply because it is a "package." While I would like the Homelink mirror and possibly the Softex, I really have no interest in the rest of the gadgets. I understand why Toyota would want to make it easy for production purposes, but I don't like being forced to take things I don't want, and having to pay a premium for them. I would have paid an extra grand for the two items previously mentioned, or better yet, traded the navigation system for them.

$3,000. Maybe $3,500. I think this option package is very over-priced, although I'd certainly like to get those features.

I'm not getting a PiP, since I have a real EV and my 2004 Prius. But I voted "I would not want the 'Advanced' trim package" because I generally do not like options other than safety-related. I got my Prius with the "safety" package: VSC and extra air bags (all of which might be standard now). SKS and HID headlights came in the package, otherwise I would not have gotten either. I'm glad I have SKS. I like it. I do not think it is "safer" to blind on-coming drivers with HID headlights.

I got my Roadster with as few options as I could. Buying as late as I did (half a year ago) it was no longer possible to order a base model except from existing inventory, and I selected the one with the fewest options.
