Well, the Base/Standard model doesnt have the 8-way power driver seat and that's what I ordered. I couldn't care less about the DRLs. So I guess to answer your question, I would not cancel my order for lack of power seats and DRLs.

I couldn't care less about the power seats - my current car doesn't have it and I don't see any issue with doing it manually. In fact, moving the seat manually is faster than using electric power.

DRL - well, you can just switch on lights during the day, can't you? That's what I'm doing now, I don't see why missing DRLs would be a deal breaker.

DRL's use a different bulb that draws less current, and if there are two drivers using the car, it is much easier having power seats. however i am told that the advanced pip will not come thru w/these options. although they are in the brochure.

DRL's are a waste of energy and in MY PERSONAL opinion are USELESS

as far as power seats? i can live with them or without them. it takes 10 seconds to adjust them. that is probably the easiest concession i can think of in a relationship (after readjusting the mirrors of course)

I like having power seats IF there is a memory function so they auto adjust for 2 or 3 different drivers. Otherwise, I find em' useless. I set my seat and that's it, they stay that way, so power seat 'money' could have been spent elsewhere in the car. For example, give us turn signal mirrors.

Yeah I put my headlights on the day I left the dealer when I picked my car in November of 2004. Haven't turned them off yet and replaced 1 bulb so far. Important to me in the land of pickups and SUV who may not see my small dark car. But DRL's will save on insurance and helps with keeping the interior lights automatically adjust for day and night.

The LED DRLs are on the 2012 Prius, if I'm not mistaken. That's all Prius, not just PiP. The 8-way power driver seat appears to be a much anticipated option by many here who have ordered the Advanced model. I guess the slim possibility exists where the PiP production model may show up in the US with no power seat (after all, we won't know until the car actually arrives in about a month). But I doubt that's going to happen.

The Advanced get 8 way power, the base gets 6 way adjustable.

They both (Advanced and Base) have LED DRLs. May wanna check out the Features and Specs on the different PiP models: 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid Models

Here, they are a necessity for safety. With all the bad weather, there isn't much debate either. Pretty much everyone turns on their lights when there's even a hint of bad weather... which actually makes the situation worse.

With only a handful driving lightless, they are really hard to see. Then of course, there's always the innocent forgetting to turn them on when leaving a well lit parking lot in the dark. My biggest irritation though is those who drive fast in ramps basically invisible to peds.

Needless to say, I wholeheartedly welcome the LED type becoming common. That small amount of energy they use will be well worth it.

I'm not getting a PiP, but as I mentioned in another thread, I prefer as few options as I can get. I'd rather not have power seats or DRLs. I always run my headlights. I don't need separate DRLs. What's the point? To save a teaspoon of gas every five years for the energy difference and have the car be less visible due to less brightness?

But I agree with John that LEDs are better. My Tesla has all LEDs, and that's great.

No 2012 Prius v (wagon) in the USA has DRL. All Canadian Prius v's have them. Go figure.

    I agree with Paradox
turn signal mirrors is a "vanity" that I would paid in a heart beat and is a real safety feature that I like.
