/\/\ true but they are not hubcentric and are not light. They came with my car and I changed them to STI BBS forged wheels.

I stuck the scion wheels on my wife's car for 100 miles. Onto the next set of wheels.

Thanks, I actually like them so much that I have bought a second set for the winter tires. Luckily they go really cheap on Ebay :)

Yeah, they have a slightly different offset (39 compared to 45 on the stock rims) and therefore bring the wheel slightly further to the outside which further improves the look IMHO :D

/\/\ Look good Marvin. What's the weight on the wheel and tire combo you have?

Just took one of the summer wheels in the garage and put it on a scale
(I used a bathroom scale with and without me so it will not be 100% accurate but should give a good idea)

The total weight came to 16.6kg so around 36.6lb - a bit heavier than the stock 16" but not by much (probably also not helped by the fact that I have 91 weight index tires instead of the stock 87)

Wow! Do you fill helium in the tires? :p

Seriously, which rims and tires do you have that are so light?

lol. I don't have them yet. Planning on getting Rota Slipstreams in gunmetal 16x7 et40 which weigh 14.5lbs and I will probably mount Toyo's on them.
The car is my wife's and we use it mostly on the weekend and once a week. So I don't want a stiff sidewall and the Toyo's are LRR's I believe.

Very nice, but I had a check: Here in Europe they cost about 150 Euros a piece

Same here, it's mainly my wife's car and I wanted to get a new better look on a budget (you can get a set of 4 of these Celica rims in good condition on ebay for around 100 Euros), so I am happy.

What I am still curious about though is:
If your rims will be 14.5 lbs, that only leaves 13.5 for the tires which sounds etremely light. Which Toyo's are these?

Just checked and according to Rota's European webpage they come in at 5.95 kg which would make it 13.1 lbs only (!)

That actually doesn't look too bad. Only thing really holding me back is the fact that they're only 16's. I'd really like to go with some 18s. =\

You must have great roads where you live. If I could I would even go to 15†for more comfort, so many potholes...

    @drew:
did a check on the net about Rota. They look good but type "rota quality" into google.... not so encouraging for me!
