I made a 500 mile round trip this weekend. When I entered my info on Fuelly, their MPG and my MFD MPG is different.

1st fill up/top off, Fuelly was .7mpg less (not that big of a deal) However, on the second fill up, Fuelly was 4.9mpg less.

I know in the GEN 1and 2 pri, we have "bladders" and they can fluctuate on fuel holding. 1st fill up of trip, it was 18 degrees outside 3pips left and took 5.669gals. And 2nd fill up, the pip was blinking! (thought I had another pip to go) it was 38 degrees out and it took 9.119gals.

Is there away to adjust the MPG in Fuelly?

    Thanks.

As you can see in my Signature, Fuelly is saying I am getting 40.1mpg While 1st MFD was 42.4 over 236.6miles and 2nd MFD was 43.9MPG over 356.0miles.

You can edit the Fuelly entry BUT keep in mind that the MFD is inaccurate to the tune of 2% on the GenII and 4%-6% on the GenIII. I'm not sure about the Gen I. So Fuelly may be right but your gauge is wrong. :)

WHOA!!! If that is the case, I'm only getting 4mpg more than my father is in his 08 corolla sport!!!!!

Well at least I got my bubble busted in my own home instead of at a prius meet and greet... :(

Don't feel busted just yet. You must track your mpg over a large number of refills to figure how what your true average mpg is. With bladder tanks the single refill numbers can vary greatly but with enough refills averaged out the variance becomes quite small.

Regarding your dad's Corolla, you can't make such comparisons unless you swap cars with him and you both drive for a few tankfuls. Driving style, commute type and commute length can drastically alter mpg even when using the same car. Your car is capable of 50mpg average but do you have the right commute or driving style to achieve it?

Ehhh, Maybe your right. "Dad's Corolla" Is in a heated garage (68-72 degrees) when he is home.(And he complains about the gas bill every month during the winter.) His normal 5 days a week commute consists of driving 2-3mins 30mph to the post office, then driving 50miles one way going 60mph. I believe there is 2 stop lights during his commute. On the way home 50 miles running about 60mph, Since it is so late, he claims that very rarely does he have to stop for the lights.

Me? 5 days a week I drive roughly 100miles over 35 and 55mph zones each day. I do not have a heated garage, and my 100miles a day consists of starting and shutting the car off at least 6times over an 8hr period of time.. (lots of cool down time.) :(
