    Danny, In your review you state the MPG guage is accurate within 1%. So to confirm if the mpg guage states 60 mpg it is within 1 mpg accurate.

    I know our 2010 Prius is off by 3-3.5 mpg, if the gauge reads 60 mpg, calculated would be 56-57 mpg.

    well 1% would be much less than 1 MPG difference... more like 0.6 MPG.

    Any info on a reless date for Canada? Really looking at getting one. I think Quebec is starting with tax refunds on hybrids (not sure). Any news on the CND price?

    Less than $21,000 to start is all we've got so far and possibly 3 models.

    I think the QC rebate is for EV and EREV as well as fuel cell cars.

    The Hybrid Rebate expired in 2009, no?

    It sounds alot like they started it up again. I am trying to get on the quebec tax website, but it seems to be down today.

    It be really nice both goverments would givemesome cash back on a hybrid....
    Truly I am shocked that the Quebec govemernt is doing the $1000 back, see as how they put up the gas taxes and all.

    I am driving 2001 coralla, can not wait to drive something that is not costing me so much in gas.

    Yes and no. It'd be nice if the Government would give a little money back on an efficient hybrid that gets 50+ mpg average lifetime. For the Government to give any money back for hybrids that get in the 30s or 40s for mileage now days would be wrong. I remember back when I got the Insight in 2001, there wasn't a dime to be had from the Government... on a car that got 70+ mpg!

    Danny,

    Being that the most obvious reported loss, in comparison to a standard Prius, is highway mpg, I am curious as to what what actual highway mpg would be. Do you have a feel for what straight highway cruising mpg would be? knowing that test condition can have a big impact, can you offer any idea for flat cruising 65 or 70 mph based on your experience?

    Ahh well, c'est la vie.

    Yep but only the Volt and Leaf offer that option. The Prius Plug-in Hybrid only has Remote A/C.


    There is a remote starter available as a dealer-installed option. I prefer to use an EBH.

    Yea I was pretty sure it would have to be done by the dealer. I know it is not earth friendy to "pre heat" my car. But getting off the ice off my car has to be doneand much faster if the car is warm.

    I suppose. I have scraped at -20°C. Not fun but it doesn't happen often where I live.

    Hi Danny,

    First, fantastic video that you and Russell produced.

    I have a young son and imagine that should I buy a new Prius C, it would be primarily my commute vehicle (ideal, right?). But unlike their target customer being a single genY'er, I'm a forty-something, and I would be hauling an infant son around in a car seat every day. Do you recall any impressions you had on rear seat ingress/egress? Will I cripple myself in the Prius C bending over, buckling my young son into a center-mounted car seat? Or is there decent headroom getting into and out of the back seat?

    Hi all, my first post: I've been lurking avidly every day for over a year (having been put up to it by my brother, who's crazy about his gen II); so, first, thanks to all, esp. Danny!

    Now I'm convinced that the C, trim IV, is our move up from our present car, a 30-year-old Tercel, which is getting a little wheezy.

    First question: regarding a decision whether to go for the 16-inch wheels, (a) what's the difference between the standard suspension and that for the 16s, and (b) how much of a hit to the turning radius is there?

    My wife says hi too--and I shouldn't knock her Tercel!
