The map shows her just south of the Channel Islands, and turning in toward the harbor, making 4 knots.
Edit: checked just now and she's making about 17knots. Maybe slowed for the turn? Obviously, I'm a landlubber, and know diddly-squat about sailing.
ETA indicates 2/24 @ 3:00. She appears to be about 30 miles out. Doesn't compute, but maybe that doesn't mean local time. Anyone? I think it is about 9:15 pm GMT now, which would put the ship in at 3:00 am local time if I'm correct in how far out at sea she is now.
Gotta' go transfer title to my '06 to the new owner, so I'm out'a here.:cheer2::cheer2:

Actually, I'm confused.:p If it says ETA is 3:00 2/24, and GMT/UTC is eight hours ahead of us, 7:00 pm PST on 2/23 sounds right. Thanks for the assist!:)

Maybe she has a new captain, one with recent cruise ship experience.

Well, she's in the harbor as of a couple of minutes ago, so the first kid on the block will have his soon.........

Isn't someone in Nor Cal going to get theirs first? Erica's post this morning said she had already been to port. But the only PiPs in port this morning were the ones in Benicia. So I'm guessing she was up north today/yesterday. Which also means the Nor Cal PiPs should have a 2 day "lead" over the ones that arrived in Long Beach this evening.

I'm hoping we will get ours soon. Dealer said the same thing as Erica in that it takes 1-2 weeks from the time the port receives the cars. Not sure why the long variance on time. I imagine there is some import paperwork/customs processing that needs to take place. Apparantly the port will install things like floormats, etc. so it sounds like some prep work happens on this side as well. Also i imagine the logistics of scheduling it on trucks/trains for delivery. Anyway, the dealer didn't seem to indicate that he had much control of this process and that it takes what it takes. But knowing my car has been there since tuesday makes me anxious to get it even sooner.

Well 2 days ahead in the Bay Area would put the cars arriving on Sunday. I am betting they will be delivered Monday or Toyota may hold them a day so that both NorCal and SoCal get the cars on Tuesday......

Dont know that it makes sense to "hold" cars back. If the east coast folks aren't getting theirs for another week or so, then a simultaneous release seems pointless. But of course since i'm NoCal, i'm a little biased and hopeful. :)

Eminent Ace just came back into range. Should make it to Benicia around 7am on Saturday.
I'm hoping my car is on that ship. Note to self: call the dealer tomorrow.

    EPA still does not list figures for PiP on fueleconomy.gov;

I wonder if they need an actual Production Model to do their testing?

And I just checked w/State Farm agent, and PiP is not in their rating database either yet, despite having a VIN.

Does anyone know if there is any ships in Japan right now? Mine was built on the 21st, so I am a bit anxious to know which ship might be carrying the my PiP.

I feel the same as mine was built on the 20th. Now is having a car built on a Monday in Japan a bad thing ? :)

Dealership confirmed that my car is indeed on the Eminent Ace. They estimate I'll have the car in my hands by the week of March 5th. They also made some mention of the fact that the cars that were on the New Century 2 may get held a bit longer at the port so Toyota can do some sort of coordinated/timed rollout of this new model.

Maybe they will have a bunch of PIP's at the Oscars like in 2001...

Well, mine is on the New Century 2 and heading to Putnam. I just sent an email asking him if I would be picking it up this weekend or next weekend....

Wonder if we get the chachi's from Prius Forum when we pick it up?
