Can't wait to see it. With NS4 and FCV-R already shown, would FT-Bh be another concept very close to production?

From what I've read, for now, it's just a toy for their engineering department to brain storm and test ideas. They are going to experiment and play around with all kinds of different ideas, and it will slowly evolve into a production city car.

Here's a shot of the read-end. It appears to be a Gen III Prius WITH FINS!!! :D
(I think they are aiming for the next Batmobile)

    yhea i do her to.

next gen B segment.. the prius B?

i really like this a small car with exceptional MPG ( i hope )

but 50% lower then current models in tha segment?
current is already op to 1 liter for 20 km... so that wil be 1 on 30? thats not exceptional.....
i expect nothing less then 1 liter on 40 km EU drive cycle!!

Can someone from Europe put a perspective on the fuel economy? They said it'll get 50% less than a supermini. How is that fuel consumption compare to a Prius?

impossible to say... at most could be 35% more efficient than Yaris Hybrid (and 50% compared to 1.0l Yaris/Aygo).

Interesting 2 cylinders 1.0 liter Atkinson cycle HSD.

Looks very roomy inside yet maintains the aerodynamic shape. The hatch looks a bit strange but the design allows better rear view and add additional cargo area.

It has a bit of mean look, like a boxy fish.

important thing is low weight with standard production materials and build, so low cost. That 1.0l turbo 2-cly has been previewed on Daihatsu before and is coming for sure.

Basically, their goal is to reach Prius PHV MPG (and CO2) without a plug (external electricity). 0.235 Cd is very impressive. Makes you wonder how far it'll go on a tank of gas.

The plugin version sounds awesome with the unheard of 19 grams of CO2/km.

I'm very excited about this concept car and Toyota can't put it into production soon enough! It has 100% of what I want in a car--light weight, high-compression atkinson-cycle engine that is well suited to CNG, lithium-ion batteries, LED headlights, PHEV version. I love the Prius C, but Toyota, in their effort to save money, skimped too much. This car shows what they really can do. Please make it!

The more I learn about it, the more I like it!

It appears the next gen strategy is to cut the number of cylinders and extend the stroke in the cylinder. As previously reported, the two concept ICE have thermal efficiency of 40% to 45%, up from 38% in Gen III Prius.

The use of foam insulation is ingenious. I hope it also blocks the noise.
