Pyxis Leader going through the Panama canal

    I found it pretty amazing myself that I was watching the ship carrying my PIP, pass through the Panama Canal. :D
    As for obsessing over the new car hm.:) Well this is my first hybrid, my first electric car, and my first non-American car! I’d say it’s about time for all three. I waited over 5 years to buy an electric car. I was on the list for the Leaf for two years then opted out after the price hike, lack of places to buy it, and get it serviced conveniently. The Toyota Prius Plug In was a perfect fit for me. Lets face it I’ve owned GM and Chrysler and Ford they were all gas-guzzlers, all broke down, and when they say 25-mpg good luck, I never did better then 14! It will be amazing to drive a reliable car. :rockon:

    It hasn't popped back up again since leaving the canal, it's gone out of range for now. Once up north more near Cuba or Florida it should reappear again for us to track.

    The information is updated again for the Pyxis Leader. It is now just north of Cuba and ETA for Jacksonville is 3/3/2012. I'd say it should be at Newark 3/6 maybe 3/7. My dealer said 3/6 but we'll see.

    So this may be a reach, but in the sprit of anticipation, this view from Key West last summer is about the right angle to imagine the Pip Ship over the horizon towards Cuba...........

    Not 100% sure but my build date was Feb 1st and Toyota said it was on its way weeks ago, and yes this will be my first Prius. :D
