In Fords monthly stats they do not break out F150 sales at all (see below). The 4 different vehicles in the F-series are entirely different with different frames, different engines and different intended usages. In no way are they similar except in name and general styling. You are entitled to a different opinion.

It's not one vehicle, it's four vehicles, except that Ford wants to present it as one vehicle. It has this perogative. Ditto GM and Ram

Speaking of the Corolla, and Mazda3 as well, both the sedan and the hatch (Matrix) have always been combined for both vehicles. Neither the sedan nor the hatch look at all similar, except they have the same engines and similar platforms.

For a while Honda combined the Crosstour with Accord sales, then they changed.

The conclusion is that the vehicle makers can do whatever they want to do in presenting their respective stats as long as there is a semblence of logic, such as a common model name. Simply put it's the perogative of the maker.

I purchased a 2011 Prius in February with zero percent financing. Similar 2012 was $2,800 more and no zero financing. So, these reports do not tell us which Prius are flying off the lots.

Yep... not only just pickup trucks but "light trucks" (Auto Sales - Markets Data Center - WSJ.com). At least the ratio finally is back to more cars being sold than "light trucks".

They need cardiac arrest with teaser gun and give a second life with defibrillator to put them on the road of electrification.

Not out yet for feb. In january they even broke out v6 choices, as percentage of f-series

    42% F150 ecoboost 6 cyclinder
    12% F150 NA v6
They don't always break out numbers monthly, but do quarterly. The platforms are the same. Engine choices, body styles, mods to frames, are different, and ford is normally forthcoming on the information. The break out of eco-boost is to allow analysts to see if the efficiency story ford has been putting out is correct. The ranger is on a different platform and discontinued in NA, but still sold world wide.

As to your matrix, corolla point. Toyota does always break them out for analysts, they just also aggregate them in some press releases. That is fine for the prius family as well. They are on the same platform, so some score them together in lists of best selling cars. The prius c and prius are entirely different platforms and should not be scored this way. If you will also note, toyota did brake out prius v percentage in February.

Those F150 numbers only report the V6 and Eco-Boost sales, they don't breakout the deliveries for each model in the F-Series. It suits Mullaly's purpose to show how many units of their most efficient truck are being taken by the public. It deflects complaints that Ford is filling the country with gas-guzzling V8's and making money selling the least-efficient vehicles on the market.

In the main press release for the public and the media the makers rarely breakout the details - unless it suits their purposes. Nowhwere have I ever seen that Ford breaks out F150, F250, F350 and F450 models. Yes, the details may be made available for analysts soon after the general release but those details are rarely seen or known by the public.

Ditto TMS and the Corolla / Matrix. I could find those numbers from some internal reports but AFAIK these were never reported in any media outlet.

Wait a minute! Wait a minute! I have stock in oil companies and I'd like to retire early. Can we please tell them to drive very fast as well? How about burn rubber so they go through tires faster?
