I use seat covers for my Prii but the salesman told me that the C has "driver and front passenger seat- mounted side airbags" that cannot be covered up.
Has anyone found seat covers that will work with the C?

    Clazzio is $450! Shoot...the C4 is $1200 in itself.
I like Wet Oklele...I used them in my last Prius. Ill have to check with them to see if they can make them for Prius C

When I had my Honda Fit, I used Coverking neoprene seat covers --
I LOVED them. Once they make them for the Prius C, I will buy them again. You can also get them through Costco's website (if you're a member).

A beach towel folded lengthwise and tucked under the headrest is working for me.
Now when will they make some rubber floor mats for the C?

I would check with Wet Okole, I think they as well as other manufactures make seat cover designed to work with the side airbags located in the seat. I think they incorporate a special seam that will allow for airbag deployment.

I just found this for you there are three videos near the bottom of the page. http://www.wetokole.com/safety.html

Amazon.com carries a universal seat cover that says it has a special type of stitching so that the air bags will still inflate upon impact. Search for "FH-PU007115 Deluxe Leatherette Car Seat Covers, Airbag compatible and Rear Split".

You didn't happen to buy these yourself did you? I wish I could see a picture of them installed on an actual C

I had wet Okole seat covers on my previous car and liked them a lot. I ordered ones for my new Prius C. I can confirm that they are compatible with the airbags. There is a small opening where the airbags are located.

Diggin up this old thread :)

Has anybody had any success with the eBay universal seat covers? I'm curious, and considering the price is less than $50, I'm sure somebody took the bait.

I plan to buy some of the <$50 ones from Amazon/ebay sometime soon, whenever I get around to picking some out:

I can't find an Amazon search that works, but I've found some there in the past, too.

I was really curious about those $33.95 ones on eBay that are black and gray two tone. Either those or the all black faux leather set.

Don't think I'll be getting anything for my car for the next month (aside from DIY things). Spending a bit too much as a new owner... and I'm unemployed for the summer :(

Yup, those are the ones I've had my eye on. I'll probably get the $35 ones with a steering wheel cover and 2 shoulder pads, because I want a wheel cover. Probably red to un-match my blue car. I'll post something about them when/if I get 'em.

Edit: Oh, I remember why I haven't bought them: they're not compatible with the airbags. The cheapest I can find that are airbag-compatible are $24 for two front seat covers only.

Here's the search for airbag-compatible ones: seat covers airbag 2012 Toyota Prius C Base 1.5L in Seat Covers | eBay

Cheapest front & back set there is $38, so I'll probably get one of those.

I heard the only difference is just some small openings on the side to allow for the airbag to break the seams. Those designs actually look better than the non-airbag compatible covers though. Keep us posted about it!

I thought it was something like weaker stitching, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll be sure to update when I finally stop being indecisive and actually get them.

You would be looking at the ones that are gray and black... wouldn't you? :) To bad they don't have red and gray.

found out my wife's jeans leave blue stains on the right side of the softex passenger seat. oddly it does it only on the right side, not all over the seat. anyway, the ebay ones look cheap enough to try out. hope you guys can post pictures when yours are installed.

Are you creepily reaching over to rest your hands on her thigh, causing her to scoot as far to the right as possible...
