What? No adjustable lumbar support on basic package?

My friend, you are forgetting that this installation guide are generic for ALL type of DIYfers, including the stupid ones.
Besides, upon Toyota instructionals, disconnecting the Battery is mandatory for any type of electrical work/upgrades.

It was 43 degrees in Pacifica this morning. Those heated seats were well appreciated, believe me!

Does the auto-dimming mirror work better in the Gen III's? For my 2005, the auto-dimming function was hit or miss at best due to the split window of the hatchback. I'm not sure I want to spend $200 or more to get a mirror that won't dim very well. I have a homelink remote already, and I'm perfectly capable of flipping the mirror back and forth from night and day mode.

This is the main reason I had to go with the Prius IV. I need lumbar support and this was the only version that could have it.

But are the "basic" seats in the 2012 PIP any better than the seats on my 2006 model? I can't tell. They seem firmer but that could be because they're not worn in yet.

I agree, I won't miss the fancy mirror that much. I do however prefer the heavier "padded" plastic they used on my 2006 glove box lid compared to the cheap feel of the one in my PIP.
